KB 250 diesel engine. What are the torque specs for mains, big end bearings, and the head?

welcome to usa forum.
no year, no country stated, (hopeless for sure)
we dont have KB's here, sorry!
so why not be the first and post country.?
as engine spec. vary by that.
Africa, not same as Australia. (etc)
no year, stated.
nor if engine is turbo or not.!
engine spec.s vary by lots of things, including compression ratio.
etc. and evolve in time.

1992 vw jetta 1.6 turbo diesel, what is the cylinder head bolt torque spec?

!st thing is get the revised head gasket (used on 1993 up) for this engine from VW or Felpro, always use new head bolts or a repeat failure will occur. Using the revised head gasket here is the procedure to torque the head down, it is done in stages. PLease go to this site and read the whole procedure.

Apply a coating of 1052080 or equivalent sealer to the cylinder head bolt threads. Install the cylinder head bolts (within 15 minutes of sealer application), then tighten them in the proper sequence first to a torque of 46 ft. lbs. (63 Nm) for long bolts or to 43 ft. lbs. (58 Nm) for short bolts and then tighten all bolts an additional 90 degree turn using a torque angle meter.

Hope this helps (remember to rate this answer).
