SOURCE: 1997 chevrolet 2500 wont start pcm/vcm fuse keeps

Clean all of your grounds starting at the battery, starter. Tighten all ground straps at the motor that is in connection with the PCM . It may be necessary to take them off and clean them if they look corroded, but most of the time you can loosen the bolt and re-tighten it.

Can I use another fuse for my park LIGHTS other than a 10a. The 10a keeps blowing. 1999 cadillac ETC

Hi, Im AL the owner of Big As Auto Repair

Never, ever, use a larger amp fuse then what the wiring calls for because you will burn the wiring and could damage other components that are not causing the problem.

Here's what I want you to do, go buy a overload fuse breaker and put in place of the fuse that is blowing. You can also use a bunch of new fuses to do the same thing. Now, you need to find out everything that is on that circuit. Get the fuse location number and see if the dealer will tell you every component that's on that circuit.

Now, that you have the components unplug one component at a time. Example: Let's say the radio, the ABS Module, the PCM is on the circuit. Unplug the PCM then plug the fuse in and see if it blows, IF it blows plug the PCM back up and move on to the next component until the fuse doesn't blow, then you have found the part you need to replace.

Hope this helps and please send people to my auto-repair-website to check out my satisfied customer's testimonials at: http://www.bigasautorepair.com/

97 ford f-150 PCM power fuse keeps blowing,

that could be a tricky situation because you don't know if it's the pcm itself or a circuit that it controls. first you must know whether or not it is a short in the power or ground supplies to the pcm, then if that is all ok, you have to disconnect all sensors, injectors, etc, everything that it controls and see if it blows a fuse. if it doesn't, then you have to hook them back up one by one and see which one will blow the fuse.

For my 2003 ford windstar I have a fuse that keeps blowing, any ideas what system is most likely causing it to blow multiple times?

its a bit hard to say but if you remove the plugs on the devices one by one you would find the culprit. anything with heat in the word i would start with as they are a main drain and so would the door actuator as they high voltage use. the rest are low voltage compared to them mentioned.

My 2000 VW Beetle's Ac stopped working. It doesnt blow any air out at all. Also the break light and the ABS lights are on. The ABS came on after the breaks got changed. The Break light is blinking and...

Sounds like you have some electrical gremlins that have moved in...

Since the fan does not even come on, and the fuses keep blowing. It sounds like the resistor pack for the blower motor could have failed, or a wire is shorted somewhere.

The ABS could simply be a wire, or sensor that was carelessly overlooked to be plugged back in when the breaks were done. Or it could be more serious.
