Question about 1996 Acura RL
Acura 3 5RL Trouble Code Info Basically your whole engine is misfiring. BUT!! IS it running rough? What is it doing? I would replace your spark plugs first and check the gap. Clean your EGR valve and the hose running to it. One of those codes is about your EGR valve. Check out the first link I posted in this to see what your codes mean. If this doesn't fix it, you may have a coil problem . You can pick those up at a junk yard pretty cheaply. When you check the coils, make sure there is no gap in the stick. Half way up you will see a small skinny seam. It should be almost imperceptible if they are good. Also, there is this handy dandy sensor: Called a Ignition Misfire Sensor. I wonder if yours is bad?http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/x,carcode,1000966,parttype,10767 1996 ACURA RL Ignition Misfire Sensor <<<these are coils. Half way up the stick you may see that seam I was telling you about. So, make sure you get the tightest gap you can if you go that route.
