Question about 1995 Toyota Tacoma

Open Question

I have a 95 toyota tacoma 3.4l that i just replaced both heads on. It runs good but starts to overheat when i get out on the highway. I filled the reservoir to the fill line and drove it for 20 minutes it was running a little hotter than it should be then it overflowed the reservoir and there didn't seem to be any pressure in the upper radiator hose till is started cooling down. Any ideas?

Have a 95 tacoma run normal when cold starts sputtering when warm

Don't know if this will help or not. I had a 1991 Camry that ran fine until it got warm. Would sputter and stall. I cleaned and messed with the throttle body adjustment until it ran OK. Can't remember what I did but there was some sort of adjustment on the throttle body. Good luck.

1992 toyota tacoma v6 4wd overheats but temp gauge says normal, stuck thermostat?

thermostat is a good place to start. But be sure to replace that temp sensor too. If that doesnt work you can flush the radiator bad case replace the water pump. Worst case absolutely would be head gasket.

most probably the rad is getting plugged, or not transfering heat to the fins, get a new one, and replace the thermostat , fill with new coolant

91 toyota 4x4 22re overheats on highway, but not at idle.

original issue sounded like thermostat but now that you have lost power i would have to say thermostat, blown head gasket, and warped head

to check thermostat find and remove place in pot of boiling water the see if it opens, then to ice water to check if closes.

the only way i know to check headgasket and head is to check oil and water. oil will have water in it, and water iw have oil in it

2006 Toyota Tacoma Low Mileage or Not...Spark Plug Life

24 mpg on the highway is actually pretty good for that truck. at 48000 miles and being 3 years old its time for plugs, air filter, and fuel filter if available. thats cheap maintenance for now. but if very self conscious, run some fuel injector cleaner first, then change the plugs, because any octane booster or fuel injector cleaner can run the risk of fouling out a plug, by creating a hotter spark then what, normal gas does. the burn is hotter.

What does it takes for a toyota tacoma 2000 v6 to complete the rediness test, not showing cat and evap been completed. fail smog test because the rediness test is not completed but the emissions levels...

It needs a "drive cycle". Start & run it, highway speeds, and then pull over & idle several times, then do city traffic "stop & go" driving, and then sustained highway speeds again. This completes the readiness thest and satisfys all of the monitors.
