Could be the clock spring assembly in the steering column . Do you know what that is ? The clock spring allows the buttons on the steering column to be connected to the vehicle .
How cars clock spring works
Testing the electrical with a DVOM -digital volt ohm meter is the proper way to diagnose electrical systems . Viewing wiring diagrams to see where connections are for easy testing of the circuit . Enter vehicle info . year , make , model engine . Under system click on engine ,then under subsystem click on speed controls . Hit the search button , then click the blue link .Scroll down to second diagram an you will see the air bag slide contacts . This is a clock spring I think , never had your type vehicle apart . Do you also have a air bag light on ?

How do i reset an airbag code 19?

I assume you are counting the air bag light flash, If so light flash 19 is for an drivers side air bag circuit, problem which could be low resistance, circuit open ,short to voltage short to ground. and cannot be cleared or reset until the concern is motor vehicles air bag light will go out when concern is no longer present but will remain in memory, I would start by inspecting wiring under dash going up to steering wheel ,the air bag connector is located just to right of steering column when sitting in the drivers seat after removing the trim panel below the steering column and is a yellow connector, Please use caution when connecting or disconnecting any connectors to air bag system ,battery should be disconnected for min of ten min's prior to attempting any work on air bag curcuits. I have seen many problems in the past with the air bag itself also with the clock spring ,question does the horn, cruise control and steering wheel controls for audio system (IF SO EQuIPPED) work properly? if not there is very possibly a clock spring problem

Air bag code 32

If I'm not mistaken I think it is a shorted or open circuit on one of the sensors. Model and year often helps to isolate the symtom and diagnostics. You will have a 99 percent chance of having a defective clock spring with a code 32 (B1932) but if you want to spend some more money on the diagnostic equipment I can post the complete diagnostic routine.

Possible Causes: Driver air bag high resistance could be caused by:
- a poor connection or corrosion in the driver air bag module circuits or the air bag sliding contact.
- an open circuit or high resistance in the air bag sliding contact windings.
- an open circuit or high resistance in the wiring harness.
- an open circuit or high resistance in the driver air bag module.

Flash code 32 which commonly calls for replacement of the clockspring (air bag contact assembly) under the steering wheel.

Hope helps (remember to rate and comment this).

Air bag light comes on in my 2005 Pacifica?

ok this is due to a broken clock spring ,, its a common problem.. fix is listed below.. ps you will need to have a diagnostic tool, a key and a bit of experience ,, if you dont I suggest you get a maechanic to do it for you, the procedure is complicated a bit..
Firstly purchase a new clock spring for your vehicle.. (the clock spring is a device that fits in the steering that turns with it. It provides power to your air bags.

  • remove steering by using key and unscrewing it.
  • remove clock spring by unjacking the wires and lifting it out.
  • turn clock spring all the way to the left
  • install clock spring and jack wires and steering back in
  • tighten steering key lock
  • use a diagnostic tool and clear error code
thats it your done..

Horn wont work but works with the panic button

The computer controls the horn and looks for a signal from the Remote Keyless Entry system or the horn button. Due to the fact that the horn works with the RKE but not when you press the horn button, would cause me to suspect that the Clock Spring mechanism, which is also used to activate the Driver's Air Bag, might be malfunctioning. When the Clock Spring breaks, the computer does not get a signal from the horn button so it can not opperate the horn. If I remember correctly, when the Clock Spring goes out, the Air Bag light on the dash either does not light up for 2 seconds when you first start the vehicle, or it comes on and stays on all the time, which is to let you know that the Air Bag is not functioning, and the primary cause is the Clock Spring. So check your owners manual to see if the Air Bag warning light on the dash is functioning normally. Your local Chrysler dealer can quickly and easily check the function of the Clock Spring, Horn, and Air Bag system, through the use of the DRB scan tool. If it is in fact the Clock Spring that is malfunctioning, the Air Bag module and the steering wheel must be removed in order to replace the Clock Spring, which should be left to a trained professional, that has been educated on the proper handling of the Air Bag system. You wouldn't want to accidentally deploy the Air Bag, as you could be injured. That and Air Bag modules can be expensive to replace.

My problem is SRS light was always on.i remoove the steering wheel before after that when i back the steering wheel SRS light always on. pls help me.

The most common cause of an air bag warning light on your model car is the "clock spring" has failed. A clock spring is available at most national auto parts chain stores and of course any Honda dealer. There is no danger the bag will go off, but it may malfunction in an accident. The clock spring is the enclosed device inside the steering column just below the steering wheel. It is the device that allows one to turn the steering wheel and have a circuit that remains intact to deploy the drivers side air bag (if triggered) regardless of the clocked position of the steering wheel. If you are not comfortable replacing inflatable restraint systems parts, I recommend you go to a qualified independent mechanic in your area. On post-1996 cars and trucks, you should be able to hook up an OBD II scanner and get the fault codes. If you get a code that indicates Driver-Side Air Bag Circuit - High Resistance or Open in Circuit, that code would refer to the clock spring. If you need help with the codes and what they mean, just come back here and we will try our best to help. Good luck and let us know if you have any follow up questions!
