Question about Volvo 940
The crank angle sensor is located on the top of the transmission bellhousing, mounting bolt is a 10mm bolt, bottom left side (if you are looking at the engine with the intake on the right) and is very hard to see.
CAUTION: Do not apply much force on removal or installation of the sensor bolt as its bracket is very fragile. If the bracket gets distorted it could cause a no-start condition as the AC sine is too weak to be detected by the ignition computer. Also, work on the system powered down. Remove that battery negative cable!
