SOURCE: where would i find the fuse on a 1965 triumph herald 1200

Hi Sharon, We're going back in time with this one. If I recall correctly I believe the fuses are on the fire wall, (the bulkhead between the engine compartment and the cabin, and they are in a small plastic box with a knurled screw in the center of it. Inside you will only find about five or six fuses. If they do not do the trick for you have a look at the starter motor and make sure there are no broken cables there. The way it is wired is, all auxiliary circuits are taken from the battery connection cable connect to the starter. It sounds as if that could be your problem. Regards John

Where are the timing marks on a triumph herald 13/60

Timing marks on Triumphs are always (at least for the Herald-based cars-Herald, Vitesse, Spitfire & GT6) on the crankshaft pulley. There is a "pointer", a small triangle of sheet metal tack-welded to the timing chain cover, that acts as the reference point for your timing light.
