Question about Cars & Trucks
My road king clicks in the starter relay when I try to start it....The battery is good and I changed the brake & starter relay checked the fuses and all are good....I have tail lights but no brake lights nor head lights and my radio won't come on and my milage doesn't show....It all starters when I accidentally crossed the cables up while trying to jump it off...It cranked and I rode that day, but the next day these problems began....

Could be one of two things.
1. Your starter motor is no good.
2. If you turn on your lights and try to start the car and they dim to almost black, then you need to check the battery connections.

sounds to me that you have an igniton problem not a starter problem and or if you have or had an alarm system could be cause if u do give me feedback and i will explain but seems that your starter is fine from what u say but if you think in terms of the elemts to start a vehicle batery gives pwoer to ignition which sends to starter which gives spark etc i would check you ignition system something is causeing a short and not alowing starter to function

Hi! The anti theft is triggered thats for sure thats why it will crank but won't run. You may need to install a remote start bypass. I provided a link to guide you on how it works. Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Please click here http://www.carmedia1.com/index1.html

Ignition relay or fuse could be the problem. When you turn the key to start do you hear a fuel pump kicking on and or do you have spark when you hot wire the starter (I know it's hard to check while trying to start it)? You can email me back and I might be able to pinpoint it more.

SOURCE: Hello, My Hyundai will not
check on the fuse box, am sure that a starter fuse is blown. the alternator might be the causer. as you said you changed it not so long. When you find out the fuse are ok, check also the solnoid wire on the starter motor beside the main wire, when that is good then might be the carbon brushes are won need to be replaced
