SOURCE: Drivers Door Lock Problem

You will probably need to replace the power door lock actuator.

Here's a link to one similar to yours.

You can probably get a used one from a salvage yard.

SOURCE: Chevy Impala Door lock issue

Which is it, 98 Eclipse, or 06 Impala? Either way, your door lock actuator is stuck in the locked position either electrically or mechaically. The way to check this is to remove the door panel and unplug the actuator. If door lock can now be moved then you have an electrical problem (faulty door lock switch or faulty door lock module). If you still cannot unlock door then actuator is mechanically bad and must be replace (usually the case)

SOURCE: Jag S-Type -intermitent fault where the remote fob does not work

This does not sound like a fob fault - but a locking control module fault , either in the hardware or software of the unit. Get it checked at a Jaguar dealers. When unlocking using the key - as soon as the door is opened you should hear a chime sounding inside the car - this is a timer counting down to sounding the alarm. If you put your key in the ignition as soon as you open the door the alarm should not go off and the chime should stop. If it does not this again points to a fault in the locking controller.
hope this helps - good luck.

SOURCE: My 2003 Honda CRV ...drivers side door does not

you may need to replace the door locking actuator, they do tend to go bad over times. does the driver side door lock automatic when using the lock button on the driver side. if you can lock and unlock the driver side door with a switch, my guess would not be the locking actuator, it might be in the remote locking module.

Power locks don't work with remote or control from

The door lock/unlock input from the driver's key switch goes to the Door Multiplex control unit (main switch), the Door multiplex control unit then sends a signal on the BUS (CAN) circuit to the passenger's multiplex control unit; the passenger's multiplex control unit then controls all the door locks. The passenger's door lock key switch inputs to the passenger's multiplex control unit, if the locks work from the passenger's side key switch but not the driver's side key switch, the most likely cause is the driver's multiplex control unit (main switch) not sending the signal to the passenger's side multiplex control unit. This could also be the drivers side door lock actuator. Hope this helps!

Drivers Door Lock Problem

Press the passenger side door lock button. if the driver side door unlocks now but wont unlock when you hit the driver side door lock button, it is usually a network communication problem with the B CAN or a faulty Body Control Module.

New key fob

Just get in your vech , close all doors. Using your power lock switch , lock all doors. After doors are locked take your Ignition Key and insert it and remove it from ignition switch in a slow fashion , but consitant pace. (97 and earlyer are fast) When you see the hazzard lights flash, put key in ignition switch and turn to the On postion .. Do NOT CRANK or you will have to Start over .. After in the On postion .. Hit the Lock button on remote... Hazzard lights should flash..( note..you have to reprogram all remotes when adding a new one , if you don't your old remotes will not work ) If your doing just the one , turn igntion switch off and unlock door and get out and try it. If you are doing more than one. While still in Vech with Key on . After you hit the Lock button on Remote and hazzard light flashed .. with key still on .. use master lock switch unlock doors and relock and then hit Second Remote, Lights should flash again , repeat if adding a 3rd remote.. after done just turn key off and unlock door and get out and try. Good Luck :)s.gif

Car Alarm

sounds like the drivers side key switch has failed remove the interior door panel and there will be a switch attached to the back of the key lock cylinder or around there it should be two or three wires also check the door jamb wire harness where the door closes for any broken or damaged wires, use a vot meter and see if you get power or ground to the opposite side of the switch when you use the key to lock and unlock the door if nothing changes and there is power or ground! at this switch i would replace it, i don't think there is one but if the car has a passenger side key hole try to unlock the car from that side and see if you get the same problem -jeff

Door locks keep locking

Hi does this happens when you use you remote to lock the door? Does this happens after you unlock the door? If I remember the lock button is on the door panel. I would just remove the switch just to see if the wires are plugged completely in to the switch, could have came loose. Please get back to me about the questions I asked.

Cheers
