Question about Chrysler Cars & Trucks

Open Question

My Chrysler voyager CRD EX will not start when the weather is a bit cool or cold. It got so annoying I parked it in December and did not touch it until a few days ago. To my surprise, it started without any fuss, I just put in a new battery. Unfortunately, just this evening I tried to drive it and it will not start. It cranks over but will not start. I am now lost for ideas. Any body out there experienced this. I have spend so much money on this matter with a chrysler dealership.

SOURCE: 2004 Chrysler Crossfire- will not start

I had the same problem with my 2005 and I had it in and out of the dealership. After about 4 times of taking it in they found that it was a relay in the ignition system. I had problems with the car dieing as I was driving. I also had issues withe the car not starting after I got somewhere. When you try to start the car the lights and everything would come on but the engine would not turn over or make any noise at all. For me this was all under the factory warranty.

SOURCE: chrysler voyager wont start

hi, have exactly the same problem on a 2000 2.5 tdi, have rectified it by removing first fuse at top of box. This controls central locking, stereo & interior lights so now I just have to trace fault. when you reconnect battery I hear a relay clicking from both the left & right hand sides which seems to be on the bulkhead, these relays are not releasing and are discharging the battery after 3 days. If you can live without the above try it, your odometer light will go off too.
Will post soultion when I find it.

Since my 2002 Chrysler Voyager 2.5 CRD was in the repair shop the engine is running hot. Halfway and higher on the temp gage. What can cause this?

An engine typically would probably run a bit hotter in the summer anyway. As long as its in the required range its not a problem. However, if you want to play it safe, drain and replace the coolant, replace the thermostat, and make sure the aux fans are working. (ones by the radiator). All three are relatively inexpensive or can be done by you, if you have some experience.

I have a 2002 chrysler voyager i hear a whinning from power steering when temperture is cold

please check your steering fluid level. or check its condition. when steering pumps start to get older whining noise can be heard in time. (especially in cold weather, it cause fluid gets thicker)this is due to wearing internal elements it is getting harder to pump fluid or hold pressure at a level.

learn to live with it until it fails(until it start to leak) and try not to turn your steering wheel to right end of its rotations.

Chrysler voyager 2.8 crd 2006 wont start without pumping the fuel primer replaced fuel filter and housing . checked in tank no primer pump found ?

Even though your vehicle starts and runs but dies, Your fuel pressure doesnt seem to be pushing enough pressure. It could be a faulty fuel pressure regulator.

Hi I'm Laszlo from Hungary, I have a Chrysler Voyager 2.5 CRD and the automotive starter doesn't rotate. I reloadt the accumulator 12V/62Ah, tried to start the engine from another car, changed the battery...

first that sounds like the neutral safety switch... could have been corrosion on the contacts... sometimes you just need to move the shifter a little bit and that will fix it... glad you got it going
