Or just remove the bulb. Then no dangling hot wires that may touch metal and spark and blow a fuse. The little pin switch for the light is probably where the problem is.

Car wont start

did you check all fuses yet, (with a meter)
the dash has lamps and tell you if the IMMO is happy or not.
do you know how your IMMO lamp works? if not ask.
or read this.
$4 day pass.
https://suzukipitstopplus.com/Products/1127-2001-swift-owners-manual.aspx

open glove box, find said book.
or buy one used off fleabay and not get stranded.

the IMMO will cut fuel. (on some cars it allows 1-2 second run times)
if the IMMO is ok, then check spark. next.
every car maker uses there own set of warning lamps
on some cars its a key symbol.
on my new car its just a red dot, to fool thieves.
RTM read your manual. Finding free suzuki manuals etc. is hard.
the best place to be is on a real forum. for just this car.
http://www.teamswift.net/

i could not find any operators guides there, but do post and ask
how the lamps work.

Brake light and emergency flashers not workin g 0n 2004 honda accord

check the fuses. in cab fuse box. open glove box, read the operators guide, it shows the fuses and which is which. fix brakes first.

what country???????????
not working means little.
out or stuck on, is better./?

both brake lights. out?
both emerg. out all ends of ca?r x 4? front and rear.????
what about blinkers (turns).? out? x 4? front and rear?//????
there are 3 electric systems sold on this car.
one 1 has simple brake lamp switch, and the export is very complex.
ive not a clue what country you reside (or car was sold new)
so cant guess. or advice, beyond a fuse check.

but on 2 of the 3, cars
the wt/tan wire at the brake switch.
if 0v and the fuse is good, #2
then the switch is bad or maladjusted.
if wt/tan wire is 12v brake appled
then the wire is cut to the rear of car... lamps.(harness)
this is common with trailer wiring hacks (uhaul hacks)

My reverse lights do not come on when i shift into reverse

what year? what tranny, ? a/t or m/t
the lamps if good ?
will always work if the following are good.
the fuse (see glove box oper. guide)
the tranny switch. bad.
the wires, between these?
and the lamps.?

if the fuse is good, and the lamps.(easy as pie checks) Btw lamps can short, try new ones, or one at time (hint)
then it's a hard fail.
you take a voltmeter (any ) and measure the voltage at both
pins in the TRANNY switch,
front side 12v,
person 2, keyon, and in reverse (not running the engine.)
rear pin, goes to 12v as reverse, (lil magic)
yes, ? wires cut to rear, (trailer hacks ! are 99% factor)
no?, the switch is bad. $$$$$$$ if A/T , if M/T cheap.
if say the voltage is near 6-8v (not 12 ) this is a shorted circuit.
finding shorts can be found by inspection, this feed line, Harness.

there are other methods, "hot wire or test light"
but the Voltmeter will never lie. and the hot wire way can cost 5 boxs of fuses. its always your choice.

How do I remove the glove box? I have removed 2 screws along the inside top and one screw on the right side that also had wire to support door. But the glove box still will not come out. It won't even...

After removing the three screws, the glove box is held with two clips - one on each side. The clips will come undone when you pull on the glove box with a little force. You will then need to unplug the switch/lamp connector.
