I have a chilton book, but its not getting me the right timing. all marks and links are right by the book, but its still off. can help?
Is the Haynes manual any better? the computer only adjust the secondary timing. The primary and valve to crank correlation is done via the chain positioning. Rotate the crank 180 degrees an that should fix the problem. Good luck
On a newer car, all the timing is done by the cars computer.
the crankshaft and the camshaft position sensors, send the information to the computer to adjust the timing as needed
