There's are two stickers on the top of the radiator. There is one at the filler cap that shows the pulley and belt arrangement and the other one shows the routing of the emission hoses with charcoal canister.

How can i tell whether a 1995 Chevrolet Caprice has a 4.3 L or a 5.7L engine?

You either have LT1 engine (5.7l) or a L99 Small Block (4.3).The 4.3 Liter has a single exhaust, the 5.7 has dual exhaust.

Trying to wire a 1994 lt1 into 1996 chevy s-10

It should be a plug and play if your using the ECM for the 1994 engine. The ECM on the 1996 S10 will no work on the LT1 engine, for one thing the S10 ECM will only command for 6 fuel injectors and will have different injection pulse and so on. The program of the S10 ECM is made for the Vortec as to the LT1 will have different parameter **** as engine running temperature, vacuum readings, and timing.
The most obvious would be the 1994 LT1 runs on a OBDI system and the 1996 is running on a OBDII system. You can still run the 1994 LT1 from a 1994 with a OBDii system ecm, but some of the sensors will need to be upgraded to accommodate for the proper readings the OBDII system will need to have the engine to run right.
If you don't have the right ECM for the LT1, go to the wrecker's and locate one, Caprice, Camero, Firebird ECT.....
Thank you for using fixya and good luck on your project.

Puting vac hoses back on and carberater on a 1984

The engine and emission control system covered by this information operate on a combination of vacuum and electrical signals; they are extremely prone to malfunctions due to improper vacuum connections. If a component does not receive vacuum at the correct time, it cannot function when needed. When working under the hood, pay close attention to the routing and placement of every hose.

Lookin to put a 6.2 crate engine in a 96 Caprice that had an LT1 Any problems or will everything bolt up

No. Every thing is way differant. Mounts, trans bellhousing, brackets. Just about everything. It could be done with a whole doner car. The 2500hd trucks have the same engine so if you could find one of those then you would have most everything you need.
