My ford taurus over heated not all the way to the red but i stopped and added water and now the car is sluggish what did i miss ???

First off you need to check the oil and make sure and top off your coolant while completely cold . If your motor oil looks milky colored then you more than likely have a blown head gasket . If the oil is not milky then start your car and check the tailpipe to see if there is any steam coming out . If there is then you probably have a cracked head . That will foul spark plugs and make it run sluggish also .

1991chevy lumina starts hard, runs sluggish and then dies when put into drive. already replaced computer

Having replaced the computer, best thing you could do now is a complete tune up-new spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, air and fuel filter. Change the oil and check all fluids. Have the computer scanned for trouble codes. Check if your catalytic converter is blocked or clogged-if bad, they will plug up and stop the car.

Hi my name is Jessica, today I noticed that my 2000 Ford Windstar started shaking when I come to a stop, and is really slow to accelerate, any help would be sinserly appreicated..

Sound like you have a brake issue when you apply the brakes sounds like a rotor may be hanging up not letting go causing the van to be sluggish to take off holding it back

My 1995 ford mustang gt is running sluggish. I have cold air coming out one exhaust pipe and hot air coming out the other pipe. What is the problem?

Could be a crack in your head gasket. This could cause one or more of your pistons to stop firing making it not as hot as the other tail pipe. check for fluids coming out of your engine block. Hope this helps

94 buick century whenever it goes up a hill will run sluggish. When coming to a stop, will also run sluggish. Otherwise it runs well in park or at higher speeds. It happens all the time...when stopping for...

This could be a problem with your plugs or plug wires, throttle position sensor. Did you just put some new tires on? When you put tires/wheels on that are bigger than was originally on there then it can rob power from the engine. Another thing that I would check would be for vacuum leaks. Hook a vacuum gauge up to a vacuum port on the engine and read the gauge. That will give you a better idea about what is really going on vacuumwise. Hope this helps.

Transmission leak,sluggish drive, pull

Release your parking brake :) Just kidding. Next time it does this sluggish thing, Put it in reverse and apply your brake, firmly and safely.then see if its still sluggish going forward. don't hit the brakes or hold then when you dhift to drive but don't dally and give the guy you just backed into a chance to get to you. Kidding. Ok, no more joking Starting out from a forward stop, vehicle feels sluggish. Stop vehilcle and back up a few feet stopping firmly. Now realese foot brake and put in drive, DON'T REAPPLY YOUR BRAKES SHIFTING INTO DRIVE.see if sluggishness is still present. If it is, Your rear brakes may not be fully retracting or they are over adjusting, adjusted. Automatic brake adjusters sometimes like to over do it. If your trans fluid is low, then maybe it can feel funny but not held back. If the back and forth thing provevs to free the brakes then have the brake checked. But seriously, to save embarrassment make sure your parking brake is FULLY RELRASED. Good luck and please let me know if I've helped you.
