Can a diagnostic connector on 1995 Toyota 4 runner be jumped over with jumper wire to get check engine codes?

There is probably a way to access codes by using a jumper and causing the engine checklight or an integral led to flash in groups. I can't say which pin or pins need jumping.

I suggest you ask the question of google and click on the youtube video.

Can I get codes without scanner 96 buick riviera

A 96 is OBDII, you can not pull codes with out a code reader. Up until roughly 94 on some models it was possible to jump 2 pins on the diagnostic port. The check engine light would then blink the codes. You can buy a relatively inexpensive code reader or about $50. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. Thank you for using FixYa.com!

92 Buick Roadmaster service engine soon light on solid. What pins do I jumper to get the flash code?

Jump pins A and B on the ALDL (data link connector). Turn the key on and the check engine light will flash the trouble codes.

When using a jumper wire to retrieve ABS trouble codes on a 2002 Trooper 4 wheel drive how is the DLC numbered? I mean which pins do I jump? And when I do jump, Will the ABS light flash te codes....

ok, there are 16 pins in the DLC you want to jump #4 and #12 as you look at the connector from left to right top row is 1-8 bottom row from left to right 9-16, both rows the 4th pin jump them together. then count the flashes all codes are 2 diget ( example flash-flash pause flash-flash = code 22 )

Transmission shift problems

this could be a shift solenoid, a trans connector problem or a control module problem, the 1st thing to do is have the system tested or trouble codes and let me know what they find.

I need to be able to display read and clear trouble codes

the following link has detailed instructions and a chart explaining the different codes. http://www.surrealmirage.com/subaru/engine.html just so you know - you may have to do a little digging to get to those connectors - mine were taped up tight to the harness - had never been used before. Good luck and any further questions have probably already been asked and answered here: www.ultimatesubaru.org Great people that love Subaru's...

1996 silverado 5.7 vortec cranks but wont start. fuel pump, gauges, "idiot" lights, blinkers do not work. flashers and all the rest of lights operate. Just replaced coil and this happens

Had the same problem with my '96 Silverado with 350 Vortec. The truck would only crank. It would start if fuel was poured down the throttle body. Could not hear the fuel pump hum. Fuse was good, but could not hear relay click. Relay was good, Did some electrical wiring trouble shooting. Turned out that one of the connectors that clasp onto one of the pins of the fuel pump relay wasn't making a good connection, too loose. I just stuck a peice of wire into the connector and pushed the relay back in. Relay clicked, Truck Started. It's been more than 4 yrs. since I made that McGuyver fix. Still firing.
