My dashboard readout, (not sure what the technical term is), is going dim. I'm talking about the area where it displays fuel consumption, radio, outside temp, etc. The same thing happened w/ my 1999 A6, and to others I have spoken to. What can I do to return it to a good solid readout? How much is a replacement module?

- Thanks, but that's not the problem. I have the dimmer switch as high as it will go. The lights or switch or whatever definitely needs replacing. I was hoping to hear from some Audi owners who have experienced the same situation, and what the solution is/was.
On most vehicles you have a dimmer switch ( not talking about headlights) which you can adjust how bright or how dim the dashboard lights are because some people want them bright and others prefer dim either check your owners manual or check all around for it from drivers seat ( within drivers reach) when you find it if you can't adjust it then you want to consider replacing dash lights or switch.
