SOURCE: As soon as I turn the key to the on position, the engine turns over

The starter has a gear in it that when the key is turned, the gear goes forward on a shaft, engages the flywheel, and spins which turns the engine over. When the engine starts and u let go of the key, the gear is supposed to disengage, and move back on the shaft to the original position. You need to get a new starter. countrycurt0

SOURCE: turn signals blinking fast and stop when brakes applied

likely not, but change /check anyhow....If problem persists, likely you will need to change the module that controls directionals (usually under dash to the right of steering column)

SOURCE: Rear Turn siganls flash fast, both front signals will not flash

The blinker sockets on most olds cars are bad. Pull out blinker bulb from your car and check if the plastic is melted; if it is you must replace the socket along with the bulb. Chances are it will melt again someday but not soon I think.- COACH....

VEHICLE RELAYS Operation Diagnosis
Turn Signal Lamps
The HAZ LP fuse in the underhood fuse block supplies battery positive voltage to the multifunction hazard switch assembly. The TURN fuse in the IP fuse block supplies Ignition positive voltage to the multifunction turn signal switch assembly. With the ignition switch in the RUN or START position, ignition positive voltage is connected through the multifunction turn signal and hazard switch assembly to the flasher module which is grounded at G205. When the turn signal switch is placed in either the left or right position, the circuit is complete from the flasher module to the turn signal lamps and to ground. The flasher module then sends an on-off voltage signal to either the left or right turn signals and their instrument panel cluster (IPC) indicator. When the hazard switch is activated, all turn signal lamps will flash including both IPC turn indicators. The front turn signals are grounded at G111 and G112. The rear turn signals are grounded at G475 and G422 on the pickup and G450 on the utility.

are you asking how to get the code from the ECM. if so you turn the key to the start position turn off, turn on, turn off, turn on and leave in this position. then count the # of times check engine light flashes. it will flash the first number then stop for a second then flash the second #. it will do this 3 times for each code. then you check to see what the code translates to so you know were to diagnose.

Pull the steering wheel and clean the turn signal switch and look for broken parts. If that doesn't fix it, then replace the turn signal wand on the steering column.
