The screaching is comming from the fan's rotor bearing(s)...the whole fan needs to be replaced.

Rear fan for ac 2006 kia sedona not working fuses check good. What else???

It's probably the blower fan itself. The brushes in the fan motors are really crappy. I removed mine and simply did a cleanup of the commutator re-installed it and it works perfectly! You can test the motor by hooking 12v power directly to it. My front blower went out and it was a snap to remove, 6 screws under the dash above the passenger side floorboard and the blower was in my hand. This motor had worn out brushes so I had to open the motor assembly and replace them. Those blower motors are $125 in the aftermarket so you can save yourself a bundle of cash if you're handy with tools. P.S. there is a little rubber boot hooked to the side of the motors, it is important to make sure this is installed properly as it has to do with cooling the motor and elongating it's life cycle!

Honda pilot 2007 blower fan making noise blower fan was replaced once still making noise

Either its developed the same fault or the fan motor bearing has failed, needs greasing or, if there's a belt, the belt is slipping.

I have a 2002 protege a/c wont work on all blower speeds and my friends 2000 blower will only work on 2 settings

Replace fan switch in dash.Or may even just need connections cleaned with some wd/40. To replace switch you need to remove dash and knob's, Then you have a switch that has the wires from fan to connector. . If these are ok and clean you need to replace your blower motor, Best of luck to you.

How do you replace the cooling/heating fan? I want to replace the cooling/heating fan. It makes very loud noises and screeching sounds. The AC and heat still work, but the fan is extremely loud. How do...

It sits up above where the passengers feet would be. Remove the panel under the glove box to expose the are below the dash. These motors are usually very tightly packed in there and take some playing around with to get out. Sometimes you have to pull the carpet back to get more clearance. A quater inch socket set with universal is handy as well.

I have a steady clicking noies in the dash when my ac is on. However, it doesn't happen all the time. When I cut the ac off it stops

We have heard that complaint before, and it was the ac clutch cycling under the hood. It does sound like it is coming from the dash. The next time it is making the noise, open the hood and inspect the front of the compressor. It may be stopping and starting. The only other cause could be a mode actuator for the ac/heating system. Your vehicle has electric motors that move the air to defrost, floor, inside or out, etc. One of those actuators could be malfunctioning, but they usually just stop working. I would check the compressor first. It may just need additional freon. Hope this helps

Oldsmobile AC resistor location

The blower motor resister is located next to the fan under the passenger side dash. You will have to remove the glove box and plastic cover under the dash to expose the blower motor. the resister is next to the blower motor.
