i tried putting in neutral and the motor runs smooth no rpm change

IF there was any change due to transmission issues, it would be reflected on the RPM guage.

Issue with my 2008 Adly Thunder Bike 150cc

People this is a scooter. The problem is that your idle screw on the Carb needs adjustment. The idle screw can be adjusted with a Philips screw driver. Follow your throttle cable to the carb. You'll see a screw that pushes a pulley down raising your rpms. This will lower your idle causing the rpms to drop and since your scooter transmission is propelled my higher RPMs the bike will stop thrusting you forward when you stop at red lights.

Check the PCV valve and vacuum lines for leaks. You also need to check the Vacuum advance as it sounds like it might be sticking a little.

May be a plugged fuel filter. If you have not done a tune up in a while it may also be time to replace plugs, wires, and cap and rotor if you have one.You can go to autozone,I hear they scan trouble codes for free. This way you will know why your light is on.Well good luck and hope this heped.
