You didn't make clear you have a automatic trasmission or manual?
if is a manual trasmission you have to look the clutch and to valves that is puting the trasmision oil pressure to move the clutch one at the end near the gear box and the second after the clutch pedal outside of the cabin imediatley after the pedal. you have to look to the oil level in the rezervoir, if you dont have the problem to bay some oil and to change completely the oil first maybe the right solution to begin with oil change first , may be is freeze from the dirties finded in the oil pipes and valves.
if you have the automatic trasmission sorry i dont know, because the problems there are more complex.

sounds like your transmission is low of fluid if not then the transmission is in need of service depending on mileage.transmission has solenoids can can go bad and torque converter, have your transmission checked.

What is O/D on 1995 Toyota Camry? Light says O/D Off and car won't go into any forward gear. It runs and will back up, but not go forward.

o/d stands for over drive which is 4th gear in that trans.there is a button on the shifter to disable that gear for bad road conditions.depress the button to change, car should mostly be driven with o/d selected, meaning press the button until the o/d off light goes out.with all that said,if the light display wont go out it could indicate a trans failure code is present.if your car wont move in any forward gears, most likely you have in internal trans failure.check trans fluid level and condition, full and red is good.brown or darker colored fluid is bad.if fluid is low, then add to full mark and inspect for leaks.

yes. This sounds very serious. There is no gear selector under there, probably fully transmission swap and hope no damage to anything else.

2000 toyota echo, transmission won't shift to 4th

First thing to do is check the fluid level if that ok you may want to think about having the transmission filter and fluid changed, there are other possibilities but check these first

Gear

Please check the level in your transmission fluid indicator. This is located in the engine compartment.

How many miles does this 2007 vehicle have on it?

Is this vehicle still under warranty? If so, I would call for service immediately, and not do anything to void your warranty rights (other than checking for obvious signs of a problem)

Let me know how you progress!
