One of my brake lights are not working on my 2002 Dodge Durango the other side is working. I tried changing the bulb out nothing and I can't tell by looking at the fuse list which needs to be changed.
if one is working and not the other, it won't be a fuse , what happens with the newer light bulbs , the plug in type with the thin lines of contact metal housed in either glass with the bulb , or plastic with the socket, is that in the socket, heat is the bad guy , look into the bulb socket,, make sure that you can see where the bulb contacts will meet up , if your very gentle,, you can use a small screw driver, ( I use a small pick tool when I do this) Lift the contact metal up a little bit,, over time the plastic melts and softens , so the when you insert a new bulb the contacts don't actually touch,, so lift the contacts up, you can also do this to the contacts on the bulb. in this case a little is better, so use care and just lift these thin lines of metal,, so that a good contact can be made
