Cigarette lighter won't work

You don't give the make model and year, if the fuse has power you would need to take a meter and check for power and ground at the lighter socket. The socket may have died.

Hotpoint dryer TDC60 won't start

You can copy and paste it to the dryer section as a new question.
In general, you would need to go down the list of possible causes such as the door switch, the thermal fuses, the timer, and so on. I use a VOM meter and the wiring diagram on the back of the machine to check components.

Cigarette lighter not working, already change fuze for 2002 4door explore, what to check now?

use a test light on cigar lighter, put probe in center of socket and the ground on outside of cigar socket or any other good ground. if power to socket, this will tell you if the cigar socket is bad and needs replaced. if it has power and lighter does not work, then its the heating element itself thats bad, the part that heats up! good-day !

My windows won't go down or up, my fuse gets super hot when i turn on the engine, i changed the switches on all the windows and and the 30 amp fuse what can i do now. do i need to change the windo

If all of them don't work after changing the switches and the fuse gets supper hot you need to double check your work. It sounds like you put a short some where in your circuit . The other thing is to check the switches with an ohm meter. This is to see what the switch is doing. Normally open or normally closed. If by accident that the factory gave you a bad part such as a short in the switch. I am assuming that the only way to hook up your switch is with the socket that came with the car. Your not plugging in each wire to the switch block.

One of my brake lights are not working on my 2002 Dodge Durango the other side is working. I tried changing the bulb out nothing and I can't tell by looking at the fuse list which needs to be changed.

if one is working and not the other, it won't be a fuse , what happens with the newer light bulbs , the plug in type with the thin lines of contact metal housed in either glass with the bulb , or plastic with the socket, is that in the socket, heat is the bad guy , look into the bulb socket,, make sure that you can see where the bulb contacts will meet up , if your very gentle,, you can use a small screw driver, ( I use a small pick tool when I do this) Lift the contact metal up a little bit,, over time the plastic melts and softens , so the when you insert a new bulb the contacts don't actually touch,, so lift the contacts up, you can also do this to the contacts on the bulb. in this case a little is better, so use care and just lift these thin lines of metal,, so that a good contact can be made

Radio fuse keeps blowing

make sure nothing in cig lighter socket..coins,etc..if nothing present, unplug cig lighter socket and replace fuse..if fuse doesn't blow,it's the socket causing fault..if it does, unplug radio, plug cig lighter back in and replace fuse..if fuse doesn't blow, radio is cause of fault..if it does, then ther is short in wiring
