2000 Chevy Suburban radio not working

The radio and clock were doing fine, the next time I drove the car I noticed that the clock was off, I tried to turn on the radio and it would come on. I noticed that the hour on the clock was the time in which I had used the vehicle the last time. Like it had stopped.
I was able to set the clock on the right time, but the radio is still not turning on.

Sounds like an internal problem with the radio. There are places that repair factor radios, but for the money, you are better off buying an aftermarket radio. There is a company called Scoche (spelling) that sells a good line of wiring adapters and mounts for aftermarket radios so you can install them yourself. You can get a good radio (some with the new HD radio) and CD player for under $150. The mount kits run about $15 and the wiring harness runs about $10....all abailable at Best Buy or Wal Mart

- thought about this again....the power for the clock is constant and the power for the radio comes on with the ignition, but I think both sources use seperate fuses. Have you checked your clock fuse?Yes
