The rad fan relay is located under the battery tray which you need to remove. Be sure to have your OEM radio code before disconnecting battery and removing the battery tray.

Engine cooling fan won't operate

First thing is to be sure that you are using 1/2 water and 1/2 antifreeze. Second is to be sure the thermostat is working, third is to be sure the radiator is not clogged inside or outside.

Radiator fans won't come on while van is running

Start the car and turn on the AC to max. Do either of the fans run with the AC compressor engaged? Also, there is a temp sensor for the fan circuit but I don't know exactly where it is located on that vehicle.

2004 jeep grand Cherokee's radiator fan won't run on high

Hi Al, I'm glad to help!

Three possible causes: (1) The high speed circuit in the radiator fan motor could be defective. (2) The high speed fan relay Could be defective. (3) It possibly may have a wiring issue. I've seen at times where you can wiggle the fan motor connector that's mounted on the fan shroud and the motor will kick on. If this is the case then replace the hole assembly which is a motor and shroud assembly. Hope this helps and have an awesome day.

92 toyota celica radiator fan switch

I guess the overall answer is no. You need to find a way to make the switch work.
If you leave the switch unplugged and the fan runs all the time, the engine may not warm up in the winter. And you are wearing out the fan motor to some degree.
You can't hook the switch up and not mount it in the radiator because then the fan won't come on and you will cook the engine.
Is there a way you can get a pipe fitting that will extend the switch ?

Radiator fans won't shut down

The fans are controlled by the Engine Coolant Temperature sensor mounted in the coolant hose at the top front of the engine. Disconnect the electrical connector and see what happens. Fans should not run. If that cut the fans off replace the ECT sensor.

The ECT sensor provides input to the Engine Control Module which controls the radiator fan ...Its usually the center sensor connector thats Grey..

Radiator fan is running off and on when car is not running. This caused battery to go dead. We are on vacation. Will we make it home or do we have to find a repair shop?

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. It is an electrical issue of some kind. When you have the car off, take out the radiator fuse. It won't be able to turn on then. Make sure you put it back in before you take off. If not, you will overheat. This way, the battery won't die and you will make it home without worry. I promise you that. Enjoy the vacation and best wishes.

Car is over heating, boiling in the overflow, this after 5km's the oil looks fine ?????? help

Check your coolant levels and make sure the hose between the coolant reservoir and the radiator aren't clogged. The cooling fan on the radiator may not be directly driven by the serpentine belt and may be on a clutch. If the clutch is broken the fan won't cool the radiator and the radiator won't cool the car. Get the car good and hot and see if the fan kicks on. To temporarily relieve the overheating in the engine, turn the heat on in your car.
