I have a Nissan y12 wingroad and when I turn the steering wheel am getting a grinding noise. I changed linkage bushing and ball joint also grease. The noise still there

Hi , if the wheels are turning and your getting a grinding noise it could be your actual front wheel bearings that needs replacing. If you have power steering it could be the power unit that's gone if one is fitted.

Fix for cadillac deville 2000-2003 vibration between 65-70 mph

Have your Mechanic check the steering tie rod bushings, and linkage. Sometimes it's just an adjustment to the steering box play(located at the end of the steering wheel shaft), - easy to fix.

Sloppy gear shifter on 94 ford e150 van how do i fix it

I can only hope it is not the same as a '94 car!
I just completed the repairs on a 94 Ford car, and on it, here is what we found.
The shift linkage is inside the steering column.
There are 2 black nylon/plastic bushings that wear out, and when they do, the shifting gets sloppy first, and then the silly thing falls apart, and you get stuck in gear!
You have to remove the steering wheel and the steering column to fix this, but it is not really hard to do so.
Be blessed as you find your answers.

Replace shift linkage bushing on 2002 trailblazer

All that was wrong with my 2002 Trailblazer was a 6.00 part my husband bought at PepBoys! It's the plastic grommet/bushing that broke that holds the shifter cable to the linkage...took him 10 min to fix!

Gear shift lever on column is very loose will not go in drive or reverse

You have worn or loose linkages and bushes in the gearchange train. Have someone move the lever while you follow the route of the linkages and check the joints. Usually replacing bushes and bolts or tightening loint parts would fix such a problem.

Slack in steering

Could be one of a couple of things, but most likely your steering linkage is worn out. But it could be loose wheel bearings, worn out suspension bushings, incorrect front end alignment, loose steering gear bolts, or worn out steering gear.

Something on the front 'clunks' when I hit a small bump in the road, what could possibly be wrong?

I had the same problem. It was the front sway bar bushings. I took it to the dealer when it was still under warrantee. The replaced everything from struts to the steering linkage. And it still made the annoying knocking noise. I was changing the oil one day and while I was under the car I started looking where the noise was coming from. I grabbed the sway bar and pulled on it. It was loose. I bought bushings for about $12 and that fixed it.
Hope this helps

Rack pinions and bushing installement

pretty decent job ahead first jack up car support with jack stands remove front wheels remove nuts on tie rod ends remove tie rod ends from spindles with tie rod end tool or tap with malet were they sit to loosen them hit the spindle area not the tie rod or tie rod threads then dissconnect power steering lines from steering rack also disconect steering linkage to rack there should be 2 main bolts holding assembly to frame remove them should free rack i know that car may have a unique design were u may have to remove inner tie rod ends first if it has those round bushings that always go bad disconect inner tie rod ends behind engine on top of steering rack then remove rack from wheel well replace those inner tie rod bushings u may be able to leave outer tie rod end connected to spindles and u may be able to get to the sterring rack from behind engine good luck
