The fuel filter, can be only 1 problem. I recommend to RUN the scanner/computer, you can have some other parts faulty like: ignition coil+pcm+bcm+sparkplug+sensor(s),etc see the diagram attached.and make TUNE up .exalta fuel filter - edfe538d-f48f-4906-9517-7afbe2b1ceaf.jpg
Remember the electronic in vehicle now is very complicated.
God bless you

SOURCE: 1994 Dodge Ram 2500, Cummings engine, 170,000

Does that 94 have the two fuel pumps on it? If it has the fuel pump on the side of the block and the high-pressure fuel pump on the top, I could almost bet that the one on the block has a check valve going out. Seen I guy spend $700.00 on a new pump and injectors and didn't bother to test the delivery pump. If it does have the primary pump on the block and the check valve goes bad when cold it would run fine and when it gets hot it loses it's prime, it's easy to test just pull the fuel pump off the block and plug the fuel line both sides and while you have it out push down on the actuator with your finger on the suction side and one on the pressure side, if the pump fails to hold vacuum for more than a minute replace it. Otherwise it will destroy the pressure fuel pump and that is expensive. As well the shut off solenoid can be taken apart on some of them and on the back side it has a round disk like on a started solenoid remove the two screws that hold them on clean the round disk with sand paper and the to contact points as well if there is a burr sticking out on one of the contacts file it off with a file then sand it down. Some of the fuel shut off's come apart from the front, either way it's a easy thing to check on both and could save you some big money. Also please rate me as I am a mechanic not a typist so it takes me some time to do this, fact is I could of done what I told ya already if I had the truck. Those Cummins engine was the cats meow when they came out.

SOURCE: engin shutoff while driving

Possibly water in the tank and some other contaminant in the tank....possibly failing...clean filter is easing flow and pressure function from your fuel pump.

Good day!my question is,where in the tank can i find the fuel filter of nissan exalta 2001.thanks.!

I can't exactly answer your question.

Most cars have a fuel filter fitted in the fuel line and it is this that needs routine replacement. Most such cars are also fitted with a prefilter gauze at the fuel pump intake requiring no maintenance under normal conditions.

A few vehicles have no in-line fuel filter but instead are fitted with an in-tank lifetime filter, again requiring no maintenance in normal conditions.

If you are experiencing trouble I believe the only way to access both the prefilter and lifetime filter is by removing the fuel pump/gauge unit assembly.

My nissan exalta sta 2000 model, motor idles but dies as soon as you give it gas.. already change spark plugs, tune up, replace engine gasket and fuel filter..

Has the car been running on empty recently? Running with low fuel can damage your fuel pump because on some cars the gasoline is the lube for the pump. a bad fuel pump could be the problem. Look up some YouTube videos on how to diagnose

My 2001 Cadillc Deville Shuts off while driving but starts up again with no problm. then after few miles it shuts off again then i just turn it back on

It could be alot of things. A bad module in the distributor, a coil going, a MAP sensor or IAC sensor. Could be a bad distributor cap. Can tell without actually being there. Do you get a service engine soon light when it is running?

Low fuel pressure is there a fuel shutoff switch

Low engine oil pressure can cause a fuel pump to shut off. Its a safety feature included in most vehicles any more to prevent running an engine with little or no oil and burning up the engine itself. Make sure the engine has enough oil, and then look for the oil sending unit. Could be bad, or going bad.
Try replacing the fuel filter. I would imagine it to be located under the car, inline with the fuel lines, otherwise consult your owners manual for the location.
Look for any broken ground wires in and around the engine compartment and possibly around the fuel tank itself. Could be dirty, corroaded, or just not making a good connection.
The last thing, I can think of would be a bad fuel pump. I've taken fuel pumps out of the fuel tank before where trash was cloging the first filter and rendering its capability, before finally burning up.

My 2000 Jimmy won't start, I can hear the fuel pump running and then shutting off before I attempt to start the engine. I also hear it running while I attemp to start the engine. The engine won't start...

The pump is working normally the reason it stops before you start the engine is it has built up enough preasure and cuts out. When you turn over the engine it starts up again as the preasure goes down when the carburator open's. The pump only helps the fuel from the tank. It seem's like dirt in your carburator. The reason it wont start after 3 minutes is the excess petrol in the carburator has evaporated hence need to pour more in. Check all pipes filters and carburator for dirt.
