If its an automatic transmission I think its your torque converter. The fluid your seeing is transmission fluid. If I'm right it will get worse quickly without repair.

Feel the liquid. If it's brown, milky, sound like you've blown a head gasket. I'd get it to a mechanic and have it looked at, but tow it, do not drive it, or you will make it worse.

That would be either Antifreeze or trans fluid. Neither is good to lose. Your should check the fill levels of both fluids. The leak must be stopped.
In order not to damage it by driving, have someone look at it at home or tow it into a Repair shop.
