Question about Cars & Trucks
I think I got bad gas I put some STP in and it seemed to help it for a week Gas got low today and it did the struggling to go down the road, the esp light came on and the voltage light flashed. It was suggest it might be the fuel filter, is this changeable and could that be causing the problems?
Sound like alternator faulty. if you see volts light flashing.if alternator volts out put is only 11.0 volts due to faulty voltage regulator or slipping drive belt. 11.0 volts not enough to volts to run the elecronic stability control system.have alternator check out at auto parts store. they can check alternator out put volts with engine idling fuel filter is part of fuel pump module you cant replace fuel filter unless replace whole pump module..

Have you changed the tps? The tps is like a dimmer switch with the idle being the lowest setting and everything above that being progressively stronger. If the switch is bad it will not advance spark or gas flow.

The light is located next to the gate adjar light in the upper left area of the cluster. It at the 2500 rpm mark on the tachometer.
I would take the vehicle to your local Auto Zone and ask them to scan your car for trouble codes. The will scan the car for you at no charge. Write the codes down and respond back.

Check under drivers door sill step. There is a spice I believe the wires are red or pink in color. The splice will be wrapped in black hockey tape looking stuff. Peel the the hockey tape stuff off and you will find that this splice is corroded and not making contact anymore. You can repair this splice and your problems will be fixed. Be sure to use some good heat shrink on your repair to prevent from happening again.
