SOURCE: Truck just stops b- 2005 Ford F150 80,000 miles

I had the same issue i changed the fuel fillter it was a little dirty but not bad. Still had problem then i cleaned out the throtel it worked good for a while. Ended up replacing the throtel its about $250 if you do it yourself which is not hard to do. The problem is the electronic throtel control but you have to replace the whole thing not sold seperatly hope that helps. Been running great did that 15,000 miles ago.

2003 Ford Explorer keeps coming up with P0060 Ford - HO2S Heater Resistance Bank 2 Sensor 2 i have changed the sensor 3 times and still nothing!

Why would you change any sensor more than once?

You clearly have no idea why you get an OBD2 Mil Lamp
on your dash

Codes have nothing to do with changing parts

You use the codes & diagnostic charts & professional
test equip, to find a problem & component test parts

Unless the actual problem is found & a part tests bad,
it does not get replaced

I only chose the question because no professional repair
shop would throw parts at it repeatedly.

You need a different repair shop or you need to buy the
factory ford diagnostic & emission manuals & wiring diagram
book, if you plan on work on it at home

The internet would be a good place to study that code
on your vehicle make & model

With a po193 code can my van pass emissions

I noticed you said "van", the title of the question says "Problem with 2005 Ford Escape". I just wanted to make sure we're talking about the same vehicle. That code (for an Escape), would be a Fuel Rail Pressure and/or Temperature Sensor. As long as you have a check engine light on, you will not pass emissions. As soon as they see the light on, they will fail you immediately because they plug there monitoring machine directly into the OBD-II port. (On Board Diagnostics Series 2) under the drivers side dash. If the check engine light is not on at the time of the test, you might pass emissions as long as the engine is running ok.
I hope this info helps!subyguru

Will it pass emissions without knock sensor

  • No, your truck will run lean and back up the timing until the pinging stops, and throw a code. For the 5.4 see the diagram below. A hard job job to do just take your time, they are under the intake.

Keeps failing emission check engine light not on

As you probably know by now there is no way to pass an emissions test as long as the check engine light is on....Your car is what they call an OBD2 system... You need to have the diagnostics codes pulled by a special tester specifically for OBD 2 systems... Once codes are pulled fix if necessary any problem and have the codes cleared... This will turn the check engine light off an enable you to pass smog providing your car is running properly...
