2002 Saturn Vue: Warning lights on dash erratically go on & off

I recently had my vue overheat and spew coolant out beside water pump. Next night, I refilled car with coolant and it quit overheating. I thought I had a leak. On my drive to mechanic next day the temp was perfect. However, the "service" light, "ABS" light, & "Brake" light would randomly flash on and off. Also, my tac would randomly go dead for a split second and start working again. My mechanic confirmed water pump had a leak and wouldnt hold pressure. He changed water pump & timing belt and it works great. However, those 3 lights + tac continue to act up. On a rare occaision, the "service engine soon" light will flash on and off. this all started after the car overheated. Someone told me that sometimes the steam from the engine overheating will throw some of the sensors off. Anyone ever had this problem? Any help would be appreciated.

My instrument panel is doing the exact same thing. It started today. I almost think it may be a loose cable to the computer that drives the lights. Did you ever resolve your issue?

The car was running fine and suddenly made a loud noise like water gurgeling all warning lights about water temp came on is it the thermastat

Sorry, not the thermostat. Check the coolant level and refill and locate the leak. I suspect the waterpump, make sure the belt is turning the waterpump. Do not drive an overheating engine.

2002 Saturn Vue V6 AWD sounds like an F1 car when i drive it. Very loud constant noise. Checked trans fluid and it was fine.

I have a 2002 saturn vue. Same thing..sounded like a jet engine ...loud humming as I accelerated . It got increasingly worse. It turned out to be the front wheel bearings. Replace them, now the noise is half as loud...have to do the rears also! 93,000 miles on it. Also, don't forget to replace the timing belt. It it goes too long and breaks, it will trash the engine...

Oil in water but no water in oil

I would have the fluid tested to be sure it contains oil before going any further.
