SOURCE: 2002 KIA spectra exhaust manifold

The exhaust manifold is right there as soon as you open hood , first disconnect neg batt cab, then jack up car remove bolts that hold pipe to manifold together , unplug any o2 that is in the way and that could get damaged. now from the top take shield off then take manifold bolts out. you might want to spray them with pb blaster and let set a few hours sense exhaust bolts love to break. Remember to use new gaskets installing new one.

SOURCE: 2004 kia spectra no a/c

needs looking at because it could be switch that allows it to turn on if sufficient gas is present ,or a problem with the clima compùter ,but to do anything you will need the special machine to empty the system then check things out so take to an authorised AC garage ,because these systems are a potential accident and you could lose a finger with frostbite in a matter of less than 2 seconds .therefore i will not tell you how to look for a soloution because of the dangerous nature of playing with air con

No spark just means when you connected the wiring plugs, you either missed the one to the distributor or it isn't plugged all the way in.

Where is the TPS sensor on 2003 Kia Spectra

The tps sensor is on the back of the air intake manifold. Right side behind another sensor.I think its the o2 sensor. Easiest way to get it out is to take out the other sensor first. Be careful because that sensor does have a gasket. You will need a large phillips head screw driver that is no longer than four inches to fit between the fire wall and sensor.I just finished doing it myself a couple mins ago. You can also find a short vid on you tube that shows you where it is.

Where is location of knock sensor for kia spectra 03

The knock sensor is hidden by the intake manifold bracket which is on the firewall side offf the car.To get to it you have to jack the car up and support it.with jack stands .always disconnect the battery when working with electrical peices. The knock sensor will be under the intake manifold bracket which is to the left of the alternator. To remove it remove the bracket, disconnect the plug to the sensor, remove the retaining bolt and then remove the sensor.I hope this helps finding it and replacing it.

I have been told that you have to replace the head bolts when replacing the head gasket because the bolts will stretch. Is this true?

If you change the head bolts that's the safest bet for trouble free operation. But, I've changed head bolts on Hondas for years and they never stretched. I know this is for a Kia. My best guess is that it's not necessary since the Chilton based manuals don't say to do this.

If the head is torqued down to specifications and it leaks, then I would say, otherwise. Even torque is more important than bolt stretch, especially if the bolts don't stretch so much that the head gasket can't be tight against the head and block.
