You will not notice any change in driveability due to ABS sensor. On braking the computer will not be able to control the anti lock system as it can not read the Left front wheel speed. Only time you will hear a woo woo sound if the Wheel bearing goes bad and has play. Otherwise if you plug in a OBD II code reader you will find
Code C0035 for Left front Wheel Sensor Malfunction.
Please read this article at Underhood service.com. link address is:
Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) Inside automatic transmission assembly.
Wheel Speed Sensor-LF On left front wheel hub assembly.
Wheel Speed Sensor-RF On right front wheel hub assembly.
Wheel Speed Sensor (WSS) - LR Attached to left rear wheel hub.
Wheel Speed Sensor (WSS) - RR Attached right rear wheel hub
sounds like it looses wheel sensor signal from the front left wheel, thinking its slipping. either a defective wheel sensor or loose connection somewhere on/in the wires between wheel sensor and control unit
I think you pulled the code incorrectly, or are reading it wrong. To get code:
1. Jump pins 4 & 9 on OD2 connector. 2. Turn key 2 clicks. 3. ABS light should blink to give you code. (long blinks for first digit, short ones for second. Example: One long blink and three short blinks would be 13). Honda ABS trouble codes list : 11= Right front wheel sensor (open/short to body ground/short to power) 12= Faulty right front wheel sensor pulse signal 13= Left front wheel sensor (open/short to body ground/short to power) 14= Faulty left front wheel sensor pulse signal 15= Right rear wheel sensor (open/short to body ground/short to power) 16= Faulty right rear wheel sensor pulse signal 17= Left rear wheel sensor (open/short to body ground/short to power) 18= Faulty left rear wheel sensor pulse signal 21= Continous Operation (chipped pulser) 31-38 are all the same: "solenoid" 51= Motor lock 52= Motor stuck off 53= Motor stuck on 54= Main realy stuck off 61= Ignition voltage 81= CPU (central processing unit)
well if you changed everything but the left wheel sensor and the mech has code of left wheel , ................................................... what should you do? the mech didn't say? I guess i'd change the left sensor!
Hello: Sir, There are a total of 5 (five) modules in the Inflatable restraint system, ( airbag) I will list them, their purpose and location:
Sensing & Diagnostic Module, the main module located under the rear of center console, Driver side inflator module located left side driver seat back . driver side inpact sensor located left lower side of center left pillar. steering wheel inflator module under the horn pad in the steering wheel. passenger front side inflator module located under righ side of upper instrument panel . Right front passenger side impact module right side of passenger seat lower back. Rf passenger side impact sensor. lower part of center pillar. The left and right sensors are not modules . Note, Codes B0051 and B0053 require replacement and programming with a scanner. Hope this helps you

in these trucks if the front abs activates at low speeds it is normally because of the wheel speed sensors in the front hubs. easy fix is to remove wheel speed sensor from wheel bearing. clean and file cast surface of bearing to allow sensor to move closer to internal reluctor ring. what happens is over time the casting rusts and creates a larger gap. please rate if this works.
