SOURCE: belt diagram for a 2006 chevy monte carlo

There should be a decal on the bottom side of your hood, or somewhere in the engine compartment. If there isn't just put it on the crankshaft (bottom pulley) and go ribs to ribs, and flats to flats, and work your way around.

Where is the camshaft sensor located in a 2004 monte carlo?

that depends on which engine it has. it is possibly integrated with the crank sensor which will be on the passenger side of the engine by the lowest pulley for the serpentine belt. Some other motors have them in the hole where the distributor used to be on earlier models.

How to tighten serpentine belt for 2003 Monte Carlo 3.8L

the belt is self adjusted by a spring loaded automatic belt tensioner, if the belt is noisy or seems loose either the belt size is wrong (if it was replaced recently) or the tensioner is defective or one of the belt idler pulleys is defective.
