if the connector is the same then you should be able to use it however it may require programming

clock spring in the steering column is my guess. They are delicate and have to do with anything in the steering wheel like airbag, horn, or anything that is operated by buttons on the wheel. These wires have to turn constantly with the steering wheel and the "clock spring" goes bad often enough
