It sounds like the antenna has came loose from the back of the radio and the wiring harness is loose.
Make sure you have a good ground going to the radio, or this will cause a short and make the radio do strange things, the fact you sometimes get a signal tells me the radio is in working condition.

Your best bet on that one is to go to a place that sells car audio systems or even some autoparts retailers have them,and get the proper adapter harness already made up. A few more dollars but, a whole lot less headaches.

yes i had to put a jack stand uder the motor mount and drop the engin just a bit and it came out from the bottom thanks for being there to help.

SOURCE: Remove back seat
If I remember correctly, you can push down on the bottom half of the seat bench while pusing back towards the back of the car, it should release the latch system so you can pull the lower seat cushion out, the back rest portion of the seat may be bolted in.
