Is there a circuit breaker or fuse to replace to solve this issue?

When you turn the key on the instrument cluster has no lights come on ? The head lamps don't work ? plug 2 and 5 where not firing and was told to reset computer by disconnecting Battery. If 2 & 5 are the only ones not firing ,disconnecting the battery isn't going to change that . The ignition module has burnt out transistor . If there was B+ voltage before you disconnected the battery you have a bad connection . Check your connections , cables ! Unless you shorted something . Do you know how to do automotive electrical testing using a voltmeter and a electrical power distribution diagrams ? Power to the coil and power to the distributor but not firing need help

As long as your getting power at the black/red wire at the coil (battery power when the key is swtched to the on/run position, I would check the ignition control module. I think Nissan calls it a power transistor. In any case it is mounted on a bracket attached to the air filter housing (see picture below). the bottom picture is a picture of the connector/plug at the module. Using an ohm meter check terminal A & B on the module. If you any resistance at all the module is good. If you get 0 ohms then it is bad of course. Those units are about 100 dollars and it sounds as if you are spending money on parts that aren\'t needed. Nissan is pretty good about testing procedures on thier elctrical componants so I would suggest diagnosing completely and then repair once and for all. If you find this unit is good and you need more testing procedures you can reply/comment here and I\'ll do my best to help figure this puzzle out. Hope this helps.......

98 mercury villager no start , code P 1320

Here is the entire description for the code -

When is the code detected? When the ignition signal in the primary circuit is not sent to Engine Control Module (ECM) during engine cranking or running.

Symptoms- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)

P1320 NISSAN Description The ignition signal from the Engine Control Module (ECM) is sent to and amplified by the power transistor. The power transistor turns on and off the ignition coil primary circuit. This on-off operation induces the proper high voltage in the coil secondary circuit
Possible causes - Faulty power transistor unit built into ignition coil
- Ignition primary circuit is open or shorted (circuit to ignition coils)
- Ignition primary circuit poor electrical connection (circuit to ignition coils)
- Faulty ignition system condenser
- Crankshaft position sensor circuit

help.png Help with this Tech notes The most common cause that will trigger the P1320 code is the ignition coils, one or more ignition coils may have failed. Even tough the coils may be working OK, the resistance for one or more of the coils is greater or smaller that what the Engine Control Module (ECM) is expecting. Measuring the resistance with the coil out of the vehicle may not show any failures, usually the coil fails under heavy conditions (hard acceleration) or certain temperatures.

The P1320 code means that there is problem with the "Ignition Coil" or the wire to the ignition coil. For some models without individual ignition coils the Ignition Coil is inside the distributor and the distributor need to be replaced to fix the problem.

Replaced coil pack on 2000 neon, still no fire on 1 and 4 plug...

The PCM - engine computer has drivers or transistors inside that control the coil's . Three wire's to the coil . One dark green with orange trace is power , should have B+ voltage . The black with gray trace is control side from PCM . for # 1 coil . Testing with a test light . Videos on youtube .

I have a 2002 ford taurus SE, coil pack has been replaced because Advanced Auto ran a diagnostic and said my coil pack was bad. Well its not and im still not getting fire on #3 and #4 spark plugs. changed...

You visually checked for spark and there was none? #3 and #4 show to be on same coil, each coil fires two plugs. Battery has a full charge? The red wire at coil pack is voltage, it has good voltage? Any applicable trouble codes?
The yellow wires with different tracer colors are grounds controlled by the pcm, one ground for each coil. Did you check voltage on ground wire engine cranking? I can't rule out a faulty coil driver in pcm. It's possible your old coil pack damaged the coil driver in pcm? If that is the problem, hope it didn't hurt the new coil pack.

Have a 95 nissan pathfinder that well not fire, already changed coil intention chip, also cap and rotor button, also checked voltage going into coil power is still going in but still no fire.anyone else know...

coil intention chip?do you mean power transistor?that is what i would change if no spark you would need a diode tester on a digital volt meter to test that item.other then that i would change the cam sensor in the distributor. with out seeing it that is all i can tell from my experience.

1999 mitsubishi eclipse 2.0L na. no start. will crank. no power to coil pack. no codes. cam and crank sensor replaced. still no start or spark.

On this model engine, the power to the coil pack is delivered directly from the power transistors located inside the PCM.
If you are not getting the signal to fire going into the coil, verify you are getting a good waveform from the crank angle sensor, and that the wiring from it to the PCM is intact. If the crank sensor is delivering signal to the PCM, and the PCM is not generating pulse via the internal power transistors, the PCM has failed (the power transistors blow open, it is fairly common on this Chrysler PCM).

I have no spark from the coil pack on my mk4 golf 1.8 20v gti non turbo could you help me

CHECK FUSE.IF ALL GOOD COIL OR COILS IS GETTING POWER.THEN COIL HAS A OPEN IN IT.NOW IF COILS ARE GOOD AND YOU NOT GETTING SPARK.YOUR PROBLEM IS IN THE IGNITION POWER TRANSISTOR.OR ENGINE SPEED SENSOR.YOUR BEST BET LET THE VOLKSWAGEN DEALER TEST THE IGNITION SYSTEM.BECAUSE IF YOU SHORT THE POWER TRANSISTOR OUT.YOU ARE GOING BE OUT OF A LOT OF MONEY.BUT IF YOU GOT ONE COIL NOT FIRING REPLACE IT.IF STILL NO SPARK LET THE DEALERSHIP. CHECK IT OUT.
