When I connect diagnostics reader, it says I have to connect 12+16 pin connections but I can find only 16 pin OBD connection, where is located 12 pin?

Look under the hood in the engine compartment.The emissions sticker will tell you if it is obd compliant...If it is manufactured in the u.s. since 1996 , federal laws require it to be obd compliant..I would give the manufacturer of the scanner a call to check compatability...Good Luck!!!

I have a 96 TDI (diesel) passat. The Connection is in front of the main dash board just in front of the wiper "hand" You need to pull a little piece of plastic tha has a tiny "speaker" looking grill on it. Be careful when you pull this out not to bust the wiper selector handle...

Your best bet is to call the state and they will call the dealer and issue you a sticker. just call the state police and they will give you the number.

your vehicle does not have a obd ll port only 1996 and newer have one ---- this is how you get your code Basically, you can use a wire or a large paper clip to connect the GND pin to the TEN pin on your diagnostic connection. The connection is located in the front driver side corner under the hood, between the fender and the battery.than turn vehicle on not start and trouble light will blink example 2 blinks -a pause --than 3 blinks [ 23 ] your code is 23 your able to get info for your code online
