How to remove and replace window switch from console in 99 Pontiac Sunfire GT convertible?

Do you have a convertible ? For convertibles only, refer to Console Replacement. If you don't have a convertible just Use a flat-bladed screwdriver in order to pry the power window switch outward.
Disconnect the power window switch wire harness.
Remove the power window switch.

My 2003 chevy impala just loses power while driving, it seems like its choking for a while then regains power again and runs normal

have car checked for a plugged catalytic converter by a reputable technician. A clogged catalytic converter results in a loss of power. The catalytic converter is made of an aluminum oxide honeycomb coated with platinum and palladium. These components react to remove CO and HC's from the exhaust stream. A two-way catalytic converter works by oxidizing CO (carbon monoxide) and HC (hydrocarbons "unburned fuel") to CO2 (carbon dioxide) and water. A three-way catalytic converter also removes NOx (oxides of nitrogen) from the exhaust. NOx is formed at high cylinder temperatures. The EGR system is responsible for inhibiting NOx. Engine reduced power

Your catalytic converters may be plugged. They have had problems out of the converters on the G6s. Probably have to take it to a mechanic, but im going to forewarn you, a catalytic converter for a G6 is around $1,000.00 each, and if its a V6 theres two converters. What I did was went on ebay and I found 2 brand new converters, one was $227.00 and the other $238.00 free shipping on that one, and they also have remanufactures converters too.

the converter is what is restricting power from engine. causes of a bad converter are: decreased engine power, indicated by low rpms on the tach. hesitating or bucking during acceleration, the car will loose power going up a hill. if engine runs hotter then usual and coolant is up to par, it may indicate a bad converter. also black smoke from tail pipe is another indication of a bad converter. good- day!!

Ok my 90 olds calais has an issue.i had a loss of power and then the catalytic converter clogged up. i hacked the converter off but the car still runs really rough and doesnt have much power and i can...

You need to put back converter. The car needs it for its resistans. No converter makes presure go down in the detonation chambers. So due the loss of power, engine consumption is increased, to compensate that. Some cars wont ewen start without catalitic converter.

I have lost of power and there is smoke and a burning smell coming from under the car from the catalytic converter area...

if it comes from the catalytic converter area it must be a bad converter. because if the converter goes bad it will heat up and you will loose power to engine. it like blocks the flow of exhaust, if light is on on dash, have it scanned to find problem code. it may also be the 02 sensor in front of converter. if light is not on, then it is more likely the converter is bad. any auto parts store will scan for free.

Mky 2001 pontiac grand am is losing power and not shifting right we changed the transmission and engine and the same problem we were wondering if the cadiletic converter could be the problem???

Yes if the catalytic converter is clogged it will cause a loss of power. The engine is sucking in air but cant push it out the exhaust. A quick way to check if the converter is clogged is to remove one of the O2 sensors before the converter. Your neighbors wont be happy with your loud car when you go for the test drive but if the power is restored you know what your next fix will be. Good luck

2002 4x4 Has little power.

Check for a restricted converter. If your vehicle has high mileage and the converter is OE it can caused a lack of power. Misfire problems can lead to converter problems.

Power loss after running

loss of power can happen even if exhaust does not flow in other words you have a rstriction in the exhaust usualy the catalytic converter has collapsed any exhaust shop will be able to tell you right away, or when you loose power do you hear a hissing noise ? if so that is clearly a clogged converter replace the catalytic converter
