I would talk to the dealer on this one but you should be able to have it done under a recall as it normally is a safety issue. If your details were kept up to date you would have been notified by Honda to have it done and the records will show that your car is outstanding for the recall

My 2004 saturn Ion will not start after having recalls done a month ago..battery is lights come on and sometimes you can get them to come on

A proper tech diagnosis is needed here. If the recall was to fix the defective ignition switch, and it worked fine up until now, i imagine you got a really bad deal from your dealer. I would definitely call the shop where you had work recently performed to see if they will help you out. They might actually come and tow your car back to get the job done right if you play your cards right.

Do a little research on the ignition switch problem online. There are a few repair kits out there that actually work better than the dealer parts. has he recall topic on their front page.

To clarify the problem with the 1998 honda civic there are no trouble codes. I just change the exh manifold and catyltic converter it is running and has cut out on me twice since then. This clarification...

is your engine cutting out while driving?? When it happens again notice if 1.Your speedometer goes to zero while in motion?? 2. If Some warning indicators lights aren't lit?? If yes, it's the ignition switch. Ignition switches on Hondas made from 97-02 encounter ignition switch failure. A recall was implimented in 2002. Ignition switch internal contacts severely arch or short causing intermitted power loss to vital engine electrical components. In this case causing the motor to intermittedly shut off while cruising. Call your local Honda dealer with your VIN# at hand for info on this. Possiblly they will replace this, if not they range from $45-$95....Hopefuly this tip helps

Ive replaced dist cap and rotor coil is firing but no fire to plugs

check for power to the coil, if there is no power...its a possible ignition switch failure. The ignition switches in these models have defective internal contacts, resulting in power loss to vital electrical components. You may check the ignition switch by removing the plastic cover around the steering column. Its a white round plastic unit with wires coming out, and located behind the key cylinder. Inspect for internal archs or black/burnt residue. Call you local Honda dealer for recall info, they will need your vin#...Hopefully this helps

I have a 1994 honda civic when i bought it i had to hold the ignition on to keep it running i replaced the ignition plugs and it works fine but the next day my windows quit working i cant find the window...

Check to see if you had unplugged any other wires along the way of replacing your ignition plugs. Check your fuse box for any blown fuses. Maybe you had a short when replacing your ignition plugs.
