Check the injectors in 2-3 cylinders for constant leak. Run fault codes to check for injector control faults. Have a pressure test done on fuel system to ensure it is not over pressure.

What could make my 1993 geo tracker flood 1.6

the G16 engine, floods.
there are 2 engines, G16a and b.
8valve TBI and the 16v MPI engine.
(EFI on both are radically different.)
this pages shows all 3 levels of diagnosis
3 causes. physics.
14 causes.
and then the full list.

http://www.fixkick.com/flooding.html

to find the cause takes tools.
got tools?, what to buy them.?
or just guess.?

here ill guess (useless)
1: the FPR reg is stuck closed, and fuel pressures 2x normal an it floods.

got 50 more...

post a photo of your engine and WIN>
get the first of millions, to do it.
amazing at it seems...

learn that almost all cars have
engine options
and transmissions.

Engine won't start when hot

engine failed before pump, or after.. confused i am.

no matter, all gas engines work same. (in the global sense)
got spark?
the EFI cuts fuel if NO SPARK , by design (PCM brain logic programming) it tries hard to make that happen. (fire safety)

the rules for all otto cycle engines, in order.
1: GOOD compression on all cylinders, 150psi or more.
2: good spark on all cylinders. and timing. (its fixed time , year 2007)
3: good fueling,, not lean, not rich or flooding
the tests are easy, do you want to test or guess?

pretend that #1 is ok, many do. but pretend.
do not jump to #3, as no otto cycle engine runs with dead spark.

if flooded and spark is good, using a test spark pull.
use super secret WOT cranking, wide open throttle, this CUTS Fuel
on all cars, to clear a flood. its in the opr, guide that, on all cars.

95 trooper flooding cylinders when cranking, runs great when starts, but setting all day or night, floods again, will run then if spark plugs removed & cleaned!!, all sensors changed!! WHAT TO DO NEXT??...

Connect a fuel pressure gauge to the fuel line and check the fuel pressure. If it exceeds manufacturers specifications; replace the fuel pressure regulator.
Spark plug cables which have aged, and now have more han 1,000 ohms resistance per inch of length, also can lead to cylinder flooding; and should be replaced.

Every morning my 1995 geo metro want start because it acts like it flooded

It could be. If one of the injectors is leaking fuel into the cylinder when the engine is off, you would have no fuel pressure at first, and one cylinder would be flooded.

Causes one cylinder to flood

Does it continue to flood the cylinder it it is unplugged from the harness ? ?
Could be a computer problem or a short in the wiring.

Car cranks over and fires wants to start but will not

with zero history (egr valve stuck open is #1 stalls reason ) clean it.
did car run perfect last month or 10 years ago?
1: compression at 170 PSI? x4 , wide open throttle, no? all are low , then timing belt slipped, not doing the 60,000 mile service caused.
2: weak or bad spark to 1 or more cylinders, the 60k , again cures that.
3: under fueling or over fueling (flooding)
read the spark plugs to see if its dry or flooding.

What will make the make it flood its self

An engine will flood if there's too much fuel going in because of a stuck choke, a bad spark not igniting the fuel, failed temperature sensors, bad fuel regulator, timing...the list goes on.

The amount of fuel delivered to a properly functioning injected car is determined by sensors mounted throughout the vehicles air intake system. These sensors work together along with the ecu to control the fuel / air mix delivered to the cylinders.

We would need to isolate the components that have impact on the duration of time the injectors stay open. In troubleshooting it is often best to work backwards.

1. Injectors - Are they leaking? 2. Pressure regulator - is the pressure at the fuel rail the right pressure?? (40psi for most fuel injected cars) 3. TPS- throttle position sensor- is this reading accurately...there are several different styles of these 4. Air flow meter - these also come in several varieties varys from mass air sensor / simple vane meters. 5. during startup there is a seperate circuit called the throttle bypass valve - this also may not be functioning if the flooding is occuring rapidly during startup. If the car starts and runs for a while than floods. this is probably not the culprit. 6. ultimately the ECU could have a problem as it is the link in the chain that ties everything together....though not likely. Any of these these would have the potential to flood a vehicle if they were not functioning properly. This is just a list of things that could cause your car to flood!

try running an injector cleaner thru the system.
you may have a dripy injector.

Fuel flooding cyliders after new gas tank install

If the vehicle is flooding then the pressure regulator is probably bad not registering enough fuel to the system and shutting off the pump in the tank.
