Question about Vauxhall Cars & Trucks
I have a 2006 vectra ecotec engine and has the cam sensor replaced last week the car on my way home started to loose power again I called for recovery and they said it was cam sensor b that was coming up can anyone please tell me how many cam sensor us on my engine and where it is, because I feel like im being shafted thanks becky
I have had this before it is best to change the cam and crank sensors as a pair. as a week sensor will affect the other sensor.and give a false code. as these work together. it is best to change both at the same time. i changed the crank on mine after the cam and it sorted it out. crank sensor is located near to the thermostat and under the exhaust manifold. make sure you tuck the wire away from the exhaust manifold . other end of the wire is fitted to the under neath of the injector cover and is cliped in place very easy to replace

I had the same problem with my '05 Stratus SXT 2.4 DOHC. I've replaced the cam pos sensor and it seems to be running fine right now. On the Dodge forums a lot of the guys say that you need to replace the crank pos sensor too. I've bought one of those just in case it comes back again. Hope this helps.

try lifting the brake pedal with your toes then switching on the cc when driving. sometimes a faulty or loose switch on the brake pedal can cause cc to cut out.

Try and clean the throttle body. Carbon will gum up on the blade and the vaccume passages, which will cause a surge and stall.
