SOURCE: 84 s10 carb

Any auto parts store can get the kit for you. The carb should have a metal service tag attached to one of the screws on top or side. You'll need the numbers on this tag to get the correct carb kit. If no tag is found then look for numbers either stamped or cast into carb, probably on bowl or on top.

I am trying to find a carburetor for my generator. It is a subaru engine. the #s on the carb is Mikuni 05xd

Get a rebuild kit for said carb. You'll find that cheaper than a replacement carb. I don't understand why the prices on carbs have gone so high, it's ridiculous. Use the make and model to order a kit and check the numbers you have to a kit before ordering. Just follow the kit instructions explicitly. Make all adjustments per the instructions. It will work just fine.

I need a rebuild kit for holley 2 barrel carb what numbers do i follow

There should be a thin metal tag held by one of the small screws that holds the top part of the carb to the bottom half. This is called a rebuild tag. If it is missing you may try the number stamped into the side of the carb body, or look up the kit by the make and model. Your parts supplier should be able to help.

Is it a good idea to rebuild your carb after rebuilding your motor

Most certainly it is. It should just go along with the rebuild regardless if it is ready or not.

Engine wont start it backfires through the carb

Make sure the timing is correct. Backfiring is often caused by an engine out of time.
Good idea on the carb rebuild. It may be letting too much gas in.

Carb is leaking it looks like accelerator pump. truck still runs not sure if there is a gasket i could replace.

Hi!!

There is a carburator rebuild kit that you can get at the AutoParts store for your vehicle. Runs about $25 and it has a diagram and step by step instruccions on how to rebuild the carburator yourself. If you don't feel comfrortable doing it, take it to a carburator shop for rebuilding. It is cheaper if you take the carb. by itself. Before removing carb. take a few pictures of the hoses and linkage n mark each hose and electrical connection removed, this will make your life a lot easier when you install it back.

Don't forget to rate this answer, Good Luck.
