I suggest either a "Haynes" or "Chilton" repair manual. They are both very informative concerning complete engine tear down.

How to remove engine pulley on a 2006 suzuki grand vitara

Most of the time, you will need to remove the bolt holding the pulley on to the end of the crankshaft, then install a "pulley puller" to get it the rest of the way off.
Most car parts stores, and many automobile repair garages have "pulley pullers", and you can see what one looks like.
God bless your efforts.

Had to replace battery in 2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara now vehicle dies when in park with air conditioner on.

the former is not related to the latter, if the batter is charged and good.
, remove minus lug first
. now remove the POS lug, last (last off , first on)
now unclamp battery.
now lift out battery.
but back in exact reverse of above.
never let the PLUS terminal wrench hit ground ever. or
the gods will be let loose (acid and flame) seen noobs to that over and over. (me in distant running, no stop, dont do that)

i think you need help, go to walmart they even have this neat free
tester that tells , the untrained what is bad.(alterntor/battery or conns)

I have a 2006 suzuki grand vitara and my malfunction light has came on also my cruise control is not working...recently had a tuneup and oil change the whole vehicle was checked out as I was getting ready...

Hello and welcome to FixYa!

As a first course of action, I strongly suggest that you remove the positive battery connector and let it sit for at least 5mins. before reconnecting it. This will reset the system and can get your vehicle back to it's normal operation.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

High pitch whining sound from engine

Check the power steering fluid if its low it could cause this. Also could be alternator, water pump, ac compressor, or idler pulley. My bet would be on the idler pulley, its the one that keeps the belt tension constant. Remove the belt and check this pulley for slack also spin it by hand.
Good luck, dont forget to rate.
