SOURCE: the serpentine belt keeps coming

I had that problem with my 1999 Voyager. Gates Rubber co. has a modification kit with a new belt and main pulley. They put ribs sort of on both sides of the belt and it grips very good if I run through a
water puddle This mod came out in about March of 2007

SOURCE: Serpentine belt keeps slipping off when it rains.

I have had the same trouble with my 2002 zx2. I have had to reinstall or replace the serpentine belt 4 or 5 times in less than a year. I have replaced the idler bearing and then the water pump went out which took out the belt as well. The belt still came off after replacing those items when I hit another puddle of water. I found that proper installation of the plastic engine splash guards which bolt to the bottom around the motor play an important roll in keeping out road water. Since the pulleys are accessible with the right front tire removed, I focused on securing the plastics tightly around the wheelwell framework. This has helped extremely in keeping water away from the pulleys. I haven't had any more troubles in the last 7 or 8 months. I'm still leary when driving in the rain as the routing of the serpentine belt on this car is the worst I've ever encountered.
Bottom line, check/replace idler bearing, tensioner if needed and make sure all plastic splash guards are there and properly screwed to the frame and each other.
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: serpentine belt keeps falling off in rain or snow

Check pulleys for being out of line. Chances are high that it is the tensioner pulley. Take the belt off and check for play in all of the pulleys. If the pulley rocks on its shaft the bearing is bad.

How stop the serpentine belt from fallen off the tensioner on a 1993 town & country. Is there a aftermarket pulley wheel for that tensioner to replace the flaw problems.

My 1991 Grand Caravan did that too. It had the 3.3L engine just the the T&C (91-93). The tensioner was the problem, hit a puddle on the right side and you'd feel the power steering go and then right away the engine would start to heat up. I tried making the belt come off, but could never duplicate it, only splashing through puddles of rain or wet slush would do it. I never found a tensioner with shoulders on it, but a new one like the original fixed it.

Voltage light

This is most likely happening due to water splashing up onto your serpentine belt causing it to slip and not spin the alternator fast enough.

A possible reason as to why this occurs not and not before could be a worn belt.

Having this happen won't really hurt anything, just dont rev the engine during the drying process as you might throw the belt off.

Serpentine belt fell off

Belt falling off,, It is most likely a belt tencher, or a pulley,, Turn pulley's by hand felling for any wobbling or play side to side especially watter pump ,if fault is found replace part and reinstall belt,!if you cant find fault,Reinstall belt, then pull on belt to see if it belt has tension and returns with no sticking of tension-er then,if all look well .start car and observe ,may have been a glitch or bad belt best wish

My powersteering locked up twice in wet weather

If this happens as your hitting a large puddle then I would check to see if all of the splash shields are installed under the jeep. these help keep water off of the serpentine belt than turns the P/S pump. As you hit a puddle the water splashes up onto the belt causing it to slip reducing pump pressure.

S belt keeps comming off when its raining

umm.. belts dont just come off when they are wet. who put this one on origionally? make sure the belt is the right length for the car - check that the pattern matches for the placement of the belt with the diagram on the front of the car under the hood and make sure it is tightened up so the deflection on the longest part is between 1" and 3/4". if the belt was tight then you may have a problem with your harmonic balancer which is the part on the motor than spins the belt - if that is bent or got broken then if would have a hard time keeping belt on but that shouldnt have anything to do with getting wet.

Lights dim, wipers slowdown after running through averge puddle

Have you checked your serpentine belt tensioner? You say that the belt seems 'taut', but that may not be as tight as it needs to be. Try dribbling some water from a hose over the belt while the engine is idling with a load on the alternator (lights on, a/c blower on high, etc), and see if the belt is slipping on the alternator. Watch out - be careful not to have your face in line with the belt, or you'll get soaked!
If the belt is slipping when wet, you may want to consider replacing your tensioner.
