Transmission od off fuse number please

Posted by on

1 Answer

I see your question here all day & no one will
I don't know which fuse,so check them all
I will say the odds of a blown fuse are not
likely & no blown fuse is ever replaced until
the cause is found
I would suspect you have a dirty trans solenoid
for 5th or 6th gear, whatever is in there or lock-up
You will need to remove the trans pan to replace
Not that hard to do,just need to find the problem
I would start with a ride, you driving & a mechanic with a scan tool along to look data
If you like the diagnoses, do the fix yourself
While not the problem, trans fluid gets changed, not flushed
or you get the current problem, done every 3 years on ALL
your vehicles

How can i fix this problem im having with my crown victoria 2005 my OD Overdrive blinking

The OD light is blinking because the transmission control module has detected a fault in the transmission operation, most common is slipping as measured by the input and output turbine shaft speed sensors. You may feel no slipping but the sensors are detecting it or one of the sensors is giving a fault signal.

1997 ford f150 4.2 motor will not go into overdrive. what is the fuse number

If you press the overdrive button you are turning the OD off not on. I think you may think you need to turn it on, but that is not the case it is fully automatic and the switch is provided for situations like towing where the OD gear puts undue strain on the engine and transmission.

Diagnostic code P1782

P1782 DODGE - 2/4-OD Pressure Switch Circuit Possible causes of this code are: - Low transmission fluid level (check level hot transmission only)
- Dirty transmission fluid (has transmission been serivced at least every 60,000 miles, fluid and new filter?)
- Faulty 2/4-OD Pressure Switch
- 2/4-OD Pressure switch poor electrical connection
- 2/4-OD Pressure switch circuit is open or shorted

The switch provide input information to the Transmission Control Module (TCM). Celica 4WS, auto, 1990- overdrive not working

The fuse for the overdrive is the 15 amp "Gauge" fuse. Since the OD light is working, the OD system is getting the right power. Methinks that you have, at best, a seized or sticking OD solenoid. What I would do at this point is to take the old girl to a service facility, and treat her to a complete transmission flush. Not just changing the fluid, but a complete flush. This may clean the sticking plunger on the solenoid, and get you & her back on the road. At worst, you may need to change the OD solenoid. Not too awful expensive. Get her flushed, and post me back. Thanks.

Check all electric connections going to transmission as (od) is electrically activated. check the conections and entire wire path for damage. OD can be disengaged by slowing speed or slight tap of brake pedal so check disengage switch and wires on brake pedal. I hope this is helpful, please rate me
