Question about 1996 Geo Metro
If you open the car door, the production date is on a label
You have the year on your title, your registration & your insurance card
Sounds like a dead battery
You hopefully know how old that is
You could have it tested or if more than
4 years old replace it
Never jump a dead battery ,I know that is what
everyone does & it is a very unsafe practice
Check the cables are in good shape & tight
If they have those clamp on ends buy new
cables that have factory ends

SOURCE: 92 Geo Metro Not Starting
Does the engine crank? Do the instrument panel lights dim when you attempt to start it?
If the answer to both of those is no, then you may have the same problem I have had on occasion - the "clutch safety switch" may be stuck and locks out the starter.
If it cranks ok and it has spark, there is a possibility that the fuel injector is "stuck". It happened to me once with my '92. The problem was solved by accident when I used a multimeter to check the voltage across the injector. I watched the voltage drain down to 0 and then I was able to start it and it worked just fine.
