SOURCE: replace fuel injector throttle body 1996 chevy pickup with carb and manifold

Probably the biggest issue would be the fuel pump and emissions. Some of the controls-sensors would not work which would affect the timing and ignition. The computer would not be able to control fuel mixture which would probably cook the catalytic converters.
You could probably do some research on the hot rod trucks used in truck pulls and road racing for more info.
Of course none of this would be legal.

SOURCE: 1987 chevy r20 carb with electric fuel injection

I would check the wires that make the injector function to see how much power is going to them (using a multimeter). Now check the wires on the injector that is not working and see if you have power there. If you do then you have a bad injector. I don't think you do since you said that you switch wires and you are getting fuel at that injector. Check your wiring harness for shorted out wires. It doesn't make sense for one side to be working and the other not to be. I don't think it is a problem with your ECU, but it may be. See what colors the wires are going to your injectors and trace them back to the ECU, a wiring diagram would help. You need to check to see if you are getting power from the control module to the harness. I believe, however, you are experience a shorted out wire somewhere in the harness. That is where I would start. If you confirm you are getting power to the control module, but you are losing it somewhere in the harness it may be easier to just run a new set of wires instead of tearing apart the harness.

Your Cav has Fuel Injection, therefore the electric fuel pump is inside the tank. uel injection units require much more pressure than a manual pump can deliver.

What makes de car injecter not to transport fuel

great general question.
there are only 3 possibles.
1: zero or low (below 30psi) fuel pressure in the Fuel rail (MPI)
2: bad injector
3: ECU decides (logic) not to inject for many reasons , ask. including the rare bad ECU.

you need only 2 tools to work MPI. a fuel pressure gauge, and a NOID lamp. $21 total cost of tools.,(ask)

is it carborated or fuel injected, most fuel injection systems have a automatic shut off if the engine is too hot, make sure the engine is not over heating or possibly the fuel injection sensor could be faulty

Locate carborator on Chevy cobalt 2005

The 2005 Cobalt is fuel injected. It does not have a carburetor. If you are looking for the fuel injector it will depend on if it is thorottle body injected or direct port injection. Typically they are throttle body fed cars. Follow the air cleaner box up and the aluminum .housing will have the fuel injector in in.

Is my 1990 chevy 1500, 350 motor fuel injected?

I believe that all cars were required to be fuel injected by the late 1980s in the US. but the only way to be sure is to look at the engine. Is there are big cylindrical dish that looks almost like a tire sitting on the top center part of the engine? if you dont know, try and find the air intake. follow the line past the air filter. When you get to the engine, does it seem to meet with small marker shaped objects, one for each cylinder the engine has? if so, the car is fuel injected. If there is a carbeurator, the dish thing that sits on the top of the engine, the car is not fuel injected
