Cranks wont start power at both coils

Check battery voltage, need 12.6 volts or more
Check fuel pressure at motor with a gauge -approx 38 to 42 lbs
Check spark with the adapter made for that,
Don't ground out a plug attached to a plug wire or coil
After that you need help,a scan tool to look at data,etc
May need maf sensor & all intake ducting in place also to start

points and carb or module and carb or module and injection,ask as not sure of model build dont have these in spain except one that i had to repair for the annual inspection ,,,,what a piece of junk back wheels moved in and parking brake unevan steering idler high emissions no fog lights factory fitted seats belts didnt lock up when jerked ,this vehicle cost a fortune to repair and get it to europeon standard

SOURCE: no start

there should be a hot lead going into the distributor, it connects under the cap check for power there when you turn the key on if not try to trace the wire to the starter and the ignition, hope that's the problem.

if truck has a ceramic ballist resistor near and connected to coil this could be problem or the crk posistion sensor could be too, i would change ballast first if you have on your truck appx cost $10

The check engine light is most likely a misfire code. You need to check your coil packs for supplied voltage. If you have 12 volts supplied, check your ground to the packs. If your ground is good then most likely the coil pack is pad.

Engine wont start

No spark from ignition coil to start the engine of suzuki vitara16v EFI engine. what is the cause of it


what year? what country? sounds like suzuki G16b engine. is it? or 2.0L?
The reasons are the same basically for G16 or the 2.0L
Both engines have ECU.
Both need good fuses to power ECU and coils.
Both engines need working CMP.
my guess is this is a distributor engien G16b (YOU SAND COIL NOT COILS.)
1: fuses, test the fuses relate to ECM/PCM (3 fuses)
CEL LAMP MUST BE ON KEY ON OR ECU HAS NO POWER.
2: g16B( CRANK FOR 5 seconds), with scan tool connected.
A $50 tool that is indispensable.
P0355 or P340 DTC , bingo, no spark.
or while cranking RPM is dead at 0 RPM.
if all that passes, then check the coil signals. (@ minus term)
The coil has an ignitor in the dizzy and both can go bad.
recap.
power 12v to ECU
CMP working
ECu sees CMP and sends spark to dizzy ignitor.
Ignitor , drives coil, coil makes spark ,engine runs.

It turns but it wont start,it has gas and power


Pull off the coil ignition cable at the distributor and check for spark coming out of coil when cranking engine over. Use a heavy rag or glove to hold the wire 1/4 inch from a metal ground. Should see a strong blue spark when cranking to verify ignition is good. If no spark, check for battery voltage to coil on the coil primary. If you have current to the coil, suspect a bad coil, ignition module, crank position sensor, or cam position sensor, or pcm. The coil, ignition module, and sensors can be tested before replacing.

Pu t in new coil and distrubtor cap and rotor put in new electronic module not firing wont start


No spark at the spark plug? It may be the pick-up coil inside the distributor. This is the sensor that tells the computer the engine's crank position.
If the ignition switch is good, you should have power at the coil's + terminal when key is on. You might check for that.

I have a 1995 dodge van which wont start due to no spark I have tested right at the coils sec. I do have injector pulse but no pulse at ign coils primary there is power at primary of coil at first we...


A test light connected across the coil primary leads should flash on + off when engine cranks(coil sparks when 12v turned OFF due to collapse of magnetic field).If you get pulsed 12 volts,and no spark from the coil,the coil is bad.If you don't get the pulsed 12 volts,trace back to find out why(the PCM turns the coil ground on and off,12 volts comes from switched IGN source)

Car wont start


No spark, ck the crank position sensor. bolted on engine at the front crank pully. Good luck. unplug and plug it back in to clean the wire connection/

1996 FORD EXPLORER ...CRANKS BUT WON'T START


open the hood nad on the right from where you are standing there is a grey box open it and it will have some plugs in it. The plug in it is a 3prong plug take it out and replace it it will cost about $4.00 and you car will start. it is the plug that gives power to the gas pump.
