Can an aftermarket key fob be programmed with a cool start system?

If you bought from them it can. Manufacturers will let after market fob's be learned in the system. I have never been able to program an aftermarket fob to an aftermarket system. Not even with a scanner.

You have to go to a Chevy dealer. They have a hand-held computer they plug into your car to get it into programming mode. Probably cost $50-$60. Call them for an estimate.

Keyless entry stopped working on 05 cobalt now i have to unlock door with the key and when i do that the alarm goes off. Help

Lock all the doors from the inside (with all the doors closed), unlock your driver's door by manually lifting the lock, then press it back down after you are out - this will prevent the alarm from sounding when you use the key to unlock the door.
