How do i get the inside engine cover off a 1995 gmc safari . i unlatched the bottom latches ,but i wont come off

There are two fasteners, one on each side of the cover that will have to be removed. use a ratchet with a long extension and the appropriate sized socket. The fasteners, or bolts, may be hidden by the carpet or insulation.

most vehicles can have the ignition cylinder removed while in the neutral position. If you can remove your lower steering column cover, you should be able to remove the bolts and pull it out. I do recommend disconnecting the battery first though.
