SOURCE: code p0452 on 2001 grand am 3.4 lit

P0452 The definition is evap pressure system low. This mean it detected a no pressure but rather a leak, There is nothing wrong with the pressure sensor or wiring itself,Fist thing to check is the gas cap,make sure the seals is good shape, The hose connection are firm and clamped down,you basically have a evap leak

Vehicle code scan fo Pontiac Montana

If the "check engine" or "service engine soon" light is on, then the computer has detected and stored a trouble code ( DTC) and you need an OBD II code reader. the connection should be on the drivers side under the dash on the inside of the vehicle. In some states the local auto parts store will do this for free.

We have a 1999 Pontiac Montana with an unknown trouble code.

P1483=engine cooling system performance
Are you adding coolant each time this light comes on in the coolant reservoir?
if so,you need to find where it is leaking out,

Pontiac Montana has computer codes

Most GM it takes about 100 start cycle to clear any DTC codes that do not reoccur. As for the lack of power when accelerating could be a dirty fuel filter and needs to be changed.
As for the EGR Valve code it may be getting carboned up and need to be replaced or cleaned soon with carb cleaner. First try changing the fuel filter for your lack of power.
If you are ever going to have you Montana Rescanned and don't mind spending a few extra dollars, Have a Dirve Cycle DTC test done. http://myweb.accessus.net/~090/dtcobd2n.html
Good luck and hope this helps. Note: The program on the transmission on the Montana thanks to GM and there wisdom was made to slip when the transmission is cold to warm up the drivetrain quicker, which premature failure is common around 150,000 KM or 100,000 Miles just after the warranty. Regular transmission fluid and filter change will help exten the life of the transmission on the Montana.

Check engine light

the only way you can retrieve these codes is with a code reader. it's cheaper than a scan tool. problem with these is it only reads the codes and the booklet tells you what the code means but it can't clear the code and it can't change the parameters to keep the codes from coming back. do me a favor and rate this ...thanks
